The U.K. aren’t doing recovered as far as I know. It’s a stat that doesn’t amount to anything.
Some might have caught the virus and recovered without hospitalization.
Some might have slight, medium, or critical illnesses .

The final stats will be anybody’s guess.
There could be cases for years.
The U.K. stats are forecasted to be the worst in Europe.
Germany has 20 million more in its population than the U.K.
The U.K. can fit into Germany five times though.
The U.K. is also made up of four countries.

Ours will. Other countries have more accurate statistics.
As an example, Germany is 1.5 times the size of the Uk, not 5 times.
And the UK is made up of 1 country-the UK.
Germany had separate nation states a lot more recently than us.

What it amounts to, is that it makes us look like a 3rd World country.
That not only can't be bothered to test its people, it can't be bothered to monitor who is seriously ill.
You are right that many people have recovered that are not in the stats, and many have differing stages of illness that are not in hospital.
It's almost as if we don't care.

I would never knock the clinical care in this country. But we have more Managers in the NHS than any other healthcare provider in the world. So why can they not provide statistics like the rest of the world?

    Possibly demographics for the spread.

There are always large numbers of Chinese that come over for the New Year in London.
Some folks can catch it and show no symptoms,so it would take a while to spread.

If you have some kind of program for testing, then how do you test illegals in all countries?
There are supposed to be 1m+ in the U.K. All other countries are likely to have the same trouble.
    The plan is flawed.

It’s hardly surprising the U.K. will be hit hard.
The amount of people traveling in, then out of London per day is huge.

It was Italy imo that informed the world how deadly this disease is.
    Not the WHO or China.
