Got myself into a decent position in the Mini only to spew 13,000 (33% of my stack) in back-to-back hands, twice receiving a milking when holding second-pair and an inside draw.
Bluff away 3,000 in the first hand after the break in the Reload. Claw them back immediately with a flush draw which turned into runner-runner two-pair.
In a continued attempt to confuse the poker Gods by mixing it up, I have late-reg'ed for a tournament I don't often play; the £5.50 BH that started at 22:45.
I must refer to a post from a few days ago which questioned the validity of "wwyd theory" without full context.
I was not playing to the best of my ability at this point and, as a result, played it incorrectly pre. I don't think this is a play I would normally make.
I'm rarely folding in this spot, but a shove or x2 was probably a better move.
I was 0/3 last night; called when behind in the Mini and Reload (albeit with Kings and Ace-Jack (Ace on flop), QQ < A7 (all-in pre) was the killer in my third MTT, a £5.50 BH.
The Mini and Mega are on the menu tonight, but we start with, yet another, DYM streak attempt (£3.30).
More than anything, though, I'm hoping that I get back to playing as well as I know I can. It's really only been the last few days that my performance level as dipped, but dip it has.
When you feel like you're always going to be outdrawn or miss your draws, it has a clear impact on confidence and, in turn, how you play certain hands.
That run of three wins and a 2nd place in four consecutive MTTs in late September seem a long time ago.
But, thankfully, positivity and confidence can return as quickly as they leave.

14p.
8,700 at the break at a cost of £6.30.

First, the Mini. I hate spots like this. In the SB with and Ace, is it an automatic shove? BB has only 7-bigs.
The first I didn't play too well, far too passively and was punished with a cruel river...
Hopefully I peak in the UKOPS.
In other news, I am currently on a run of three DYM's at £2.20 level.
Hoping to play my way back into form in the 23:45 BH (£5.50).
Win a decent pot (and a bounty) in the £5.50 BH (23:45), calling a small pre-flop raise with 84s in a multi-way pot.
Call a 0.1xpot bet with an inside straight draw on the flop, and hit on the river after the turn was checked.
An opponent has been lecturing me since. Blimey, mate, can't you let me win one?!
He obviously doesn't read the diary.
What would you suggest here, pre?
1. Fold
2. 2x raise
3. 3x/Shove
4. Limp
1. Fold
2. Fold
3. Fold
4. Shove (misclick)
