As one needs to, I get lucky in the £3 Hyper, flopping two-pair against top-pair in an unraised pot.
It all goes in on the flop and I hold.
This game be a 3-to-1 chip lead, however, a spell of frustration followed, with my opponent handing me a walk when I held a calling hand and shoving when I held a double-down hand (83o, 92o etc).
With my chip lead diminishing, I face a shove holding Jacks, and hold against 33, despite a pleasant 246 flop.
One victory away from achieving the coveted streak of four.
Greg Norman - crumbled when the original grinder starting breathing down Gregory's Gregory.
Jimmy White - pick a year, any year.
Colin Jackson - the man was like lighting in a bottle, sadly he lost that very bottle every four years at the Olympics.
Jana Novotna - bordering on harsh, as there was vindication in '98.
Jean Van De Velde - shrewdly decided not rest on the laurels of a 3-shot lead by attempting an eagle on the 72nd hole of The Open.
Newcastle United - such a shame, because Kev would've loved it if they beat them.
Don Bradman - what? The man needed just four runs from his final innings but was out for a duck, finishing his career with a batting average of 99.94 runs - 'kin loser.
mushroom1 - in complete cruise control when capitulating in the 4th leg on his 2021 four-streak challenge.
With my game in tatters, I select to play a Hyper at the £2 level, with the belief that I currently held more chance in a crapshoot than I would in a deep contest.
The stroke of genius was rewarded in a rapid victory.
I lose 30% of my stack in the £3 Hyper in the first hand. I bet a double-gutshot on the turn, which was called my and inside straight draw. We both make the straight on the river, however, unlike my opponent, I was not holding the nut straight.
I take the lead in the following hand when top two-pair held against a flush draw.

Head frazzled.
Somehow manage to land the £1 opening leg, despite playing terribly.
I price myself at 6/4 to progress past the upcoming £2 level.

Can I fluke my way past the £3.15?

I got the W with this piece of absolute filth...

So, I achieved my first goal on the 6th attempt, coming in at -1 par, based on my prediction of 7 attempts.
I cannot keep getting lucky, so I expect the run to come to a halt at £10 stakes.
I'll tell you honestly, I will love it if I come in -12 regarding the streak of five goal, love it!
I held a 400 tournament-chip lead before playing two hands questionable, to say the least.
However, I do know that I should save 200-300 with a blocker bet at the river. I think I may even get away with a cheaper block?
Had I did so, I would not have started the next hand with, maybe, 1200 tournament chips, and not the 835 I found myself with.
I'm not sure what I should do, here, with my 14-bigs (after raising)? I called without truly thinking it over, which is rarely recommended.
Had I started the hand with 1100-1200, as I should've, I fold, naturally.
At this stage, it feels like I am just pressing buttons randomly.

I shall leave it there, for the time being.
