The Mega Stack final-table was a rather odd. A slow. So very slow. It took around 40 minutes to lose our first finalist.

I held and lost the chip-lead three times before finishing 5th.

This was the pivotal hand for me, probably...

After this cooler, I remarkably built my one big-blind up to a chip-lead before losing 99% of my newly-earned stack in a rather annoying coup.

The short-stack went all-in for 1.25xBB UTG and it's folded to me on the button with KQs. There is a decent bounty on the short-stack's head so I shove with my hand, naturally. SB wakes up with AK.

Cosmic.

I decided to play one more MTT, a £11 BH. I made up the SB with 87o, the flop came 886. Player in the big-blind loving life with his 86.

I need a lie down.

While drifting off to sleep this morning, I was trying to pinpoint the word that best describes how I view the previous few nights.

I settled on 'demoralising'.

Given the lack of rewards for correct decisions, it best summed up my mood, and my last conscious thought was the idea of taking a break until Thursday.

However, sleep is a true elixir for the soul and I return with renewed vigour.

I am now out of the mini, after taking a hit with Queens - got checked-raised on a AKJ board after a 6xBB pre-flop raise.

I may play the Reload, but that is likely to be it for the evening.

Although I shipped about 25% of my stack here, I probably lost the minimum? The Ace on the turn saved me some chips, though, even if the turn bricked, I would've likely reverted to check-call mode.

This just in: Now down to half-stack after flopping a flush-draw with overs, which turned into a flush-draw with unders on the turn, which then turned into Kigh-high at the river.

Confidence in tatters. Head frazzled. Bankroll haemorrhaging.

Still, the fridge is full.

The Reload is, indeed, by third and final MTT of the evening. A tournament that has proved kind to me, especially when at a low ebb.

And, I've started relatively brightly, increasing my double-buy-in stack by 50% and picking up a bounty. With 43o in the BB, in an unraised pot, I flopped the 'up and down' which pinged on the turn (Ace) - the poor soul against me had slow-played Aces.

Unfortunately, no such news from the Mega, where I currently lie 38/40. Remarkably, I have managed to claim a bounty, after managing to find an all-in against one of only three players with a lower stack at that stage (KQ > AJ).
