Hello again.
Since I failed and gave up pretty quickly in my previous and recent attempt at documenting my progress, I have decided to give it another shot after reading
@JohnConnor blog and successful build of his bankroll. I aim to hopefully repeat a similar feat.
I am starting with only £10 and plan to play DYMs with the occasional MTT.
At the moment I have no targets, other than to not go busto so quickly and to remain disciplined. So lets see where this takes us!
Also, please forgive me for my 2nd similar post in as many weeks. It is so I can have a different layout. I will reserve the first reply in this thread for a placeholder to update my overall progress periodically, rather than to include it in each daily update post - I hope that is okay.
Good luck at the tables

My first target will be to get the BR to £24.20 in order to have 22 buyins for the next level (to allow 2 shots at it)
I will also update the first reply in this thread with my total stats/graphs once I play a few more sessions.

Good luck at the tables
Good luck.
And I gave up the last one simply because I was becoming increasingly, more and more frustrated and I did tilt quite badly. So I wouldn't have been honest with myself or you guys if I carried on.
Anyway, on to this challenge which will hopefully teach me how to build a bankroll without much risk and to prepare me for when I have a larger BR - by building it from here, or a deposit down the line.
Thanks again for the interest in this. Remember, if you have any questions at all, fire away.
See you at the tables and good luck.
Don't you just love being on the bubble of a DYM and this happens
I'll be back later this evening/tomorrow morning to update on my daily play.
Good luck at the tables!
Good luck with this
Thanks @gregkdy82 Getting frustrated has to be my biggest weakness in poker, even though I totally understand what you are saying.
I am hopeful what I am doing now challenges me to improve this particular weakness without being too costly.
Good luck at the tables

Like yesterday, I was pleased with my play. My first session today was a sort of break even (only lost on rake) after playing 16 | Winning 8 | Losing 8. However, the evening session was much better... Playing 17 | Winning 13 | losing 4.
3 out of those 4 losses in the evening session I lost with my over PP vs lower PP all in pre each time. Those hands were a bit gutting, especially when you can't easily remember any times it happens in reverse.
One thing I have noticed with these £0.55 DYM is that they don't fill up as quickly as I imagined. Maybe that's helping my play, by not having as many opened as I normally would. I guess the turbo ones would fill quicker, however, my biggest weakness of frustration while playing is very much more tested in those fast structured games. And playing them wouldn't be a wise move at the moment.
Anyway, I'm trying not to blabber on in these updates. I am pleased with my initial progress.
See you at the tables, and Good luck.

Doubling a bankroll in a night is always decent
Yes, any profit is good enough for me. But the way you put it, gives me an idea for another stat to share.
Good luck at the tables!
Today, I also played the 2 freerolls, and min-cashed for £1 in one.
Also, after my session this evening, I was well over my initial target of building my BR to £24.20. So before I updated this thread, I decided to play my two "shots" at the £1.10 level. I won both, so I will continue this level until/if my bankroll drops back down below £22 (20 buyins).
Without further ado, here is the outcome of today.
Day 3
Played: 49
- 45 * 0.55 DYM --- Won 34 | Lost 11

Starting BR: £10.00
Total Profit: £20.90
Current BR: £30.90
A quick thought about today's play. I folded in the SB to at least two different 'AWAY' BBs when folded round to me. That is the cause of my instinctual, almost robotic, decision making. I need to train my brain to make a quick check for these things before acting.
Also, I know some of you enjoyed the stats/graphs etc I included in my previous diary. These will be posted in the coming days.
I will leave this post with another hand history that may bring some humor. This was the very first hand of one of the DYMs

Working a backshift meant I could only play a small session before and after my work. But I am still very pleased to continue on from the first 3 days and profit quite well. Especially the level above, and I didn't need to drop back to the £0.55 DYMs straight away (at least for the time-being)
Good luck at the tables all,

Well, tonight was my first losing day. Only on rake though, so that's something. Not a lot else to say. But if anyone is still reading, I am just about to add some stats to the first reply to this thread, and will edit to update that post regularly.
Good luck at the tables,

I received a £2.30 token reward from last week's play. So I used that to play in a £3.30 DYM. I didn't wanna waste any of it. I also played the rewards freeroll, which I min-cashed again for £1

Today, my DYM play at the £1 level didn't work out too well. Not terrible, but I decided to drop back down to the 55p level, as I just felt the cards were running against me. I also played and min-cashed in the Rewards Freeroll again.
Here are the results of today.
Day 7
Played: 37
- 16*£1.10 DYM --- Won 7 | Lost 9
- 20*£0.55 DYM --- Won 15 | Lost 5
- 1*Rewards Freeroll MTT --- Cashed for £1
Staked: £28.60
Winnings: £30.00
Profit: £1.40
ROI: 4.9%
ITM: 62.16%
Total Profit: £28.70 + £2.30 Bonuses
Current BR: £41
I haven't really thought about any goals yet, however, since I have broken the £40 barrier, I'll say that my aim at the moment is to get my BR to £48.40 in order to have my two shots at the £2.20.
Overall, I am still pleased to have profited just about every day I have played, but a bit disappointed my total profit in the £1 level of DYM is just over breaking even over the first 100 tournaments.
For anyone interested, I am playing around with my spreadsheet before bed, so will update the overall/total stats and graphs soon.
Thanks again for letting me ramble and post all this, as it certainly is keeping me focused and motivated.
Good luck at the tables,
