Good morning. I woke up early today and I don't like it. Let's get this over with.
We crossed the halfway mark of the week with a bit of a limp last night but it was always going to be relatively disappointing after Wednesday's fireworks. We did book our third win of the week though, and first place has crossed the 200 points mark.
@MynaFrett with the win in the £300 Deep Stack is nice to see, but it's going to take more than that to break into the top four. @TheEdge949 has had a quiet week but he was on form last night with three cashes and a final table in the £100 Deep Stack. We used to get most of our points in the Nightly Micro, but it's been a very quiet week in that tournament. Are the Deep Stacks the new Nightly Micro?
No change in the standings today. @jcrazar1 has broken the first place tie and moved ahead by 26 points thanks to a quiet night for @engy. @MAXALLY continues to show us even the biggest fish get lucky sometimes, solidifying his third place after a few good runs last night. It was a night off for me, so I'm surprised and glad to still be in fourth.
I single tabled the mini on my phone so apologies to those who may have said hi.
Then again , I was watching “ Dogging Tales” so prob would have missed the greeting anyway.
Those who didn’t watch this absolute gem of 21st century tv missed this quote from 50 odd yr old dad of 14 ( or was it 16) children .. talking about his 3rd ( or 4th , I couldn’t keep up) Wife ( 30 odd yr old ‘Sharon’) “ I feel sorry for Sharon, she’s missed the Golden Age of Dogging”

Next time can you change your location setting to watching Dogging so we know.
Good morning. I will use this space today to offer all the up and coming low stakes players here some advice: do not, ever, under any circumstances, attempt to needle @MattBates. I tried it yesterday and he immediately punished me with quads. He's an animal, and not one of the cute and fluffy ones.
It was a good night out for our newbies last night. Two final tables for @lewjax79 and 2nd in the Mega Stack for @Swog. Nice one, chaps.
As noted, well done to our newest players. @Swog shows up in 13th and rather astonishingly @lewjax79 has jumped directly to 4th on his first night in the league, dropping me down to 5th. Looks like @engy took the night off because @MAXALLY has moved into 2nd, reducing @jcrazar1's week-long lead to just 18 points.
Pretty low scoring week this week, leaving the top spot open to just about anyone as we head into the weekend. Interestingly, only one of the top four has booked a win this week, which is quite unusual.
Good morning. I remember watching a WSOP final table with my dad as a teenager, back when they still put poker on the telly. I think it was the 2000 WSOP, when Chris Ferguson won. I was too young to gamble legally but I absolutely loved the drama of it and with all the hubris of a stupid teenager I told my dad I wanted to be a professional poker player one day. Quite wisely, he told me not to get ahead of myself and that it was harder than it looked. I've been a diehard fan of the game ever since and it was a point of pride when my dad stopped winning against me. I'm concentrating on becoming a teacher these days but until they reopen the schools I am technically a professional poker player, since it accounts for 100% of my income, and I'm claiming a win on a technicality. Happy Father's Day, dad, you fish.
We had a productive night last night, with our highest entry count all week. Sadly it seems I wasn't the only one stumbling at the finishing line; only 314 points to hand out today, and just the two final tables. Saving our run good for Sunday, are we? Good, I like a sweat.
@engy is taking a brute force approach to the league, playing over 70% of the available tournaments on the schedule so far this week. And it seems to be working: he added another 75 to his total last night. @Allan23 finally showed his face with a final table in the £100 Rebuy. Come on, @Allan23, I've been telling people you would be a contender in this league. Don't embarrass me.
@jcrazar1 has been dethroned and dropped off all the way down in 3rd place, making way for @engy at the top and @MAXALLY in 2nd. And I've reclaimed 4th place thanks to a nice run in the £500 Deep Stack. With no clear leader the entire top four remains up for grabs. Even @MAXALLY could win it.
Thanks @NOSTRI for the fab table and reporting ( and for the chips in the 2 quid bh 😉) it was good to share a table and learn stuff, sorry I couldn’t chat much , I had too many tables going , old age is catching up with me.
Also to Sean @stokefc who “Got lucky” on the river when we both had shove / fold stacks late on in the mini , glad my chips went to a good guy.
May not be able to play this evening as I have a sneaky feeling I’m going to be pampered 😊.
