    Dire
    Bolical
that's my self 'Steam Punk Review'
    my Girls lives...
Not a shilling, not a Farthing, on anything bar the bets I post.
And this, from the fella it all started with, my lunatic punting old man (rip)
Letting me have the Lot (full pocket monies)
on Grittar, yes I swear I did.
'Mum' see it still, crystal clear, assumed teach me a lesson!
    After that, to my old man's amazement, first Saturday Yankee on the flat, that season, was a, L Piggot Yankee (kopped) simply picked the horses because ridden by L Piggott;
Era, ITV 7 grandstand Frank Bough Dickie Davis tuther side, Big Daddy & Giant Haystacks wrestling every Sat on TV, and....
the 24 points full Littlewoods Pools dividend,
did it every week, never ever a, shilling.
and spot the ball coupon! Played every week, never won a shilling!
I remember one of the four winners, was sp 10/1,the stack of dollar, on the fireplace, that Saturday, same address, Mottingham SE9 4DU one and the same, all the blatent Pirate Radio played 'out' not literally,we never broadcast from their.
Mailing Address yes,my home, parents home, sisters home,I put my family through '****' knew no better.
No doubt, did my absolutes, after, for years.
    Yankees, Super Yankees, Heinz, Goliath, on;
    Piggott, Mercer, Starkey,.. every day!
but, a huge one kopped for me,early, put on with my own pocket monies in William Hill Mottingham Village by my old man.
I swear,my mum aghast! Billy Bozo Bonds (West Ham CAPITANO) at that time, lived 60 seconds from Mottingham Village William Hill Bookies, in Landsdowne Road, I know coz went in that house (Billy's) WH apprentice, a million to make it!
I remember, being on a caravan holiday, age about 13,Selsey Bill.
Patrick Moore (astronomer) lived their, beautiful home on the corner, driving into Selsey Bill, the Douglas Bunn family, cartel like owned (Hickstead Show Ground) ..
and almost every caravan of the thousands in Selsey, except ours.
    99 % of all caravans in Selsey owned by the Bunns;
but not ours, we were posey 1,on the beach (I swear)
Only bookmakers in Selsey Bill a little independent, adjacent to the famous Selsey Bill windmill, opposite the best /busiest fish O chips in the world.
We used to go around to the Selsey Bill lifeboat, adjacent, all the fresh fish/ crab, straight off the little one man boats.
    that holiday, AMAZING, why?
We arrived Friday, caravan on the seafront, bang opposite the Selsey lido & penny arcade, on the Saturday (me only 13!) old man takes me, early Sat pm to the bookies, independent only one, bang next to the Selsey Bill Windmill and adjacent to the security gaurded gate! next to the Windmill.
I swear, a gate, security guard, underneath windmill 'fascinated me'!
Felt like King Billy (me, a right scoundrel with naughty old man) off a very dodgy SE London council estate!
I swear on girls lives, me & old man like glue.
He backed a single, Greville Starkey winner at 10/1,early that very Sat holiday, I see the bookie handing over the greenbacks, old man promise me (and my sis) holiday of a lifetime, and it was.
Swear again, I swear on my girls lives, old man loved fishing (off Selsey beach) famous for Bass, the shore caught bass, he caught, with me in Awe, made I SWEAR, the angling press.
Mum (rip) not around when I had (swear on my girls lives) a 6k to 4k on the Mary Reveley trained Legendary Line, shorted headed (hurts now) in a Novice Chase (me and Norman & Tony) owned the fkka, glue gal it.
Officially Mary Revelely Racing Horse, reality, me, Norman & Tony.
    Google (I haven't, don't need to)
Legendary Line Novice chase, beat a short head, sp? think 4/7.
I smashed it at 4/6,had the bet over the phone with William Hill, cantering/ swinging/hard held jumping 2 out, found zero when asked, makes me feel as sick, now, as it did then.
Beat,a short head on the Jam Stick.Legendery Line (ex flat horse)
We did our proverbials on it, on the flat, as well!
The naughty horse,I mentioned way way back (mine)
won't say anymore, was ridden by one Paul Doe!
    Bet 16 points today.
High Velocity tailed off last, sp 4/1 couldn't go a yard on turf/ground.
Mobarahin thieving 10/3 went off 5/2 fav, held up off pace 'late headway' 4th!!!
Flight Command sp 5/1 never a factor, tailed off
16 points down the Banjaxxer, not quite!
Odd Socks Havana, get the fluk in! WINNER day saver.
Took 5/2 sp 2/1 (oi oi, not too far!)
    2 points ew 5/2 return 10 points, bet 16,lose day, 6 points.
2 ran like crabs, 1 not put in race, 1 hisses up, thankyou!
    Running 186.07
I will (don't know when) hit it out the park.
Some point between now & November handicap.Promise.

I can't take any credit for this.
A very well known Lingfield 'face'
Not just told me about this (today)
I didn't even know Tumbler existed
    but I do now.
because I seen a, screenshot, lumpy bet placed.
    Sunday May 15th
    French 2000 Guineas
    Tumbler 1.5 points ew fifth odds 1 2 3
    14/1
    Sunday (tomorrow)
Longchamp 15.25 the G3 Prix La Force
    Tumbler 3 points WIN 7/2
    had zero idea about TUMBLER
but, a trusted pal, swears, this a MACHINE?
Might be worth a, shilling ew!!!
It's form, tis obviously a 3 yo colt (form below, once raced)
French 2000 Guineas odds, today, smashed, 14/1 best now 22.20 pm sat night.
If its as good as suggested, 7/2 in 17 hours time has to be a win bet.
Yes, I know its not UK, but if this by chance, zips in, and I not share it
    I would be sick.
Might be worth a 'shilling ew'?!!!
    Below, its once raced form
    Skybet price for tomorrow
Ante post current price 14/1 for French 2000g

way behind, a, certain American pilot,.
    Steve Cauthen got a mention.
    1985 aged 20.
Had done my absolutes on El Gran Senor (Eddery) 1984 Derby.
still remember the old man castigating Eddery.
    Secreto up the inside,won a head / s head?
El Gran pulling a cart 2 out
even remember a freakin OBJECTION! by Eddery to the winner.
1985 Derby, had the bet in Kings Cross, Steve Cauthen Slip Anchor.
never oi oi oied one, as much as that, lost my voice.
    Agony El Gran
    Ecstacy Slip Anchor
    told this before, as well.
Me & old man, lumped Dancing Brave about a week prior, at 9/2
(backed it for shillings ap all winter) then days prior Brave was lame (distraught) picture of its off fore / hoof in a bucket appeared in the Sportinglife.
Boy do I miss that broadsheet, my go to pages were 'money talks' all big on course bets published 'fascinated me' and "man on the spots nap!
    Dancing Brave miracle recovery.
from memory, went off 15/8 fav on day.... G Starkey, you know the rest....
Agony to ecstasy, Edderey ridden Dancing Brave won King George & Arc.
When we used to go to Selsey, always always passed through Arundel.
Why? old man religiously followed Guy Harwood & John Dunlop horses, remember Snaffi Dancer, cost I think 10,000 million, never made the track!
1987 Khahlid Abdullahs WARNING 2 yo won 4 out 4 as a 2 yo,Europe's leading 2 yo trained by Guy Harwood, seasonal debut as a 3 yo, odds on in a four runner race, was going to Ibiza next day, lumped it large! beat by one of M Stoutes if memory serves, that became a very very expensive holiday! Warning was fav all winter for 2000g,didnt run,got it back that summer, Warning hosed up in both the Sussex Stakes & Queen Elizabeth. 11.
    Memories,good,bad,but all priceless.

    My memories of Dancing Brave..
Only time I ever went to Epsom. Went on the train from Lincoln.
Had him down as the biggest cert in the Derby.
Unloaded a months wages on him which I couldn't obviously afford
Stood at Tattenham corner couldn't afford members lol watched Greville in an impossible position
    Knew my money was done
How he got so close was incredible as Morrissey sings ' I can smile about it now but at the time it was terrible' lol.
Lester Piggot still the best flat jockey of all time remember being in awe when seeing his name up on the old hand painted racecourse Dec boards

    P.s thanks for travelling light!

    P.p.s gl today

Anyone following seems we got a bit of value with this French colt today.
Down to 2/1 fav in places for todays race at time of posting, 10.00 am.
This time yesterday, in one place, 50s for the French 2000g,then 33s,then 14s,someone somewhere thinks its top drawer?
Fingers crossed for today, obviously backed it at 14s for the French 2000 in the hope of a big run today.

Backing one at the Curragh today.
13.55 no3 Forceful Speed, 7/2 everywhere, 15/4 on two books.
    2 points ew Forceful Speed fifth odds 1 2 3 (9 run) at 15/4.

Is it a 'spoof gamble' or is it a live One?
Tramore 17.30 the pro am bumper.
Made its debut in a 2m 4f maiden hurdle.
Switches to a pro am bumper.
Wouldn't normally touch with a barge pole.
However, 66/1 on debut, handbrake on entire race! rewatched & rewatched.
No hurdles to jump today switching to a, pro am bumper with 'just' 11 runners.
    What's got my eye?
    The application of MONIES today
a known phenomenon for horses finding improvement!

what is someone called, that does this?
decided to boot (in havanna flip flops) my solid flower urn, ouch

I am well aware, of the bookmakers 'rep' the one I backed these two with.
The second, they restrict a bet, believe me I will say.
Got the single on, left few minutes, got the other single on, left few minutes, placed a, 'mug bet' because able to insta lay it off for pennies (lost)
    18.25 prices live, and stood.
Hence, 1 point ew double at live prices, 3s & 5/2 the above two.
I well aware, attempted ew thieving, if they lay me, I back em, hope understand, would never write anything non accurate.
I might be well well wrong, think both prices, too big!
  • misterpjmisterpj Member Posts: 3,292
That horse I have mentioned several times from a recent Windsor race.
    Newmarket entry scrubbed (good)
    Beverley entry Wednesday, live.
If that runs, and is 25/1 I will max bet it.
If it runs, and is 5/2 (which it simply can't be!) won't have a shilling on, but will name it.

  • misterpjmisterpj Member Posts: 3,292
decided to tell this one last time.
In the 15 mins pre Charles St runs, and regardless of result, max bet one at a price tomorrow.
Back, way way back in the Extel Comms no pictures era, my early bookmaking days, manually settling ew equally divided super goliaths, rule 4s,dead heats, the blinking lot, no OTT settling machine allowed, that's both LBO (shop) and on course, horses Southern & point to points & cherry's Crayford, Catford.
My little horse (leg in) Ascot Class 1 winner, so it had ability.
Long since retired pilot P (Paul) Doe, his brother Henry (boxer) out of East Preston/ Kingston Gorse, Sussex coast.Where I happily lived, view to beach.
Said horse, P Doe ridden at Lingfield, was not wound up, was not anywhere near fully fit, simply out for a leg stretch, small field, 33/1 not 1p on
Could (to our astonishment) have won easy (unfit) hooked up, pretty blatent! 3rd.
Nto (turf) Yarmouth max through day 25/1 opens 14s,sp 17/2 we smashed it, 3rd and blew a barn down unsaddling,we knew the trainer, we knew the work rider, we KNEW, and still did our absolutes.
Nto, huge field, unbacked again 25/1 finishes like ARAZI...
Nto out, finally got it right, 20s into sp 12/1 but, won (having been 1/100 running)
Won a short head, never ever won or placed after, only a few runs, then retired.
It, ain't easy, even when all Intel in world.
Marathon, never any Sprint, if ya Git me.
    Charles St under orders?!
