Hi Tom, hope things have improved with time for you, do keep eye out for your posts and rankings in Tournaments ........ but I'm still full of to much information. hic!
Because I enjoy taking on things that are outside my comfort zone.
I love it where it's not safe, where it's edgey and a little bit scary. That's why in the past I liked to hang off mountains, race motorbikes, work doors, compete in martial arts and have a what don't kill me makes me stronger outlook.
The broken bones, battered body, bruised limbs and constant adrenalin surges. The frequent "Wow that was close" moments and the realisation that you only really live when you put it all on the line is what motivated me, and to some extent still does
I can't help it, that's how I'm wired.
I had no idea a £1 HU sng held such dangers... i didnt realise what a bad **** mo f***** i was!

Calm down big lad, I was simply analogising how I enjoy being outside my own comfort zone.
Certainly playing against a PLO8 specialist does that. although my 0 - 7 current scoreline would seem to suggest that trying to play optimally is indeed a bad idea.
So in the next stanza I am just going to blast with any pretty hands and see if I can't set you off on a rant.
1.....FOLD and wait ......and would be sitting in 17th ?
in sb next hand and blinds shortly going to go up to 800/1600....but going to be a Full Orbit before I will be in the bb with x2 bb left
2....Call SHOVE to DUp and almost certainly get a seat
I know I should have had the other two tables up to see when players who were in 16th + 17th place were next in bb .......so lesson learnt there ( I normally only ever have one other table up)
Anyway for a whole month now, the deck has been performing like some automatic long odds machine. Just soooo noticeable, its scarier than ever. So if im in a winning position just needing to fold for a seat win... im not going to play AA if its close or even slightly against correct play....
As its highly, highly likely you will get stung.... and you did......
How often will aces lose online all in preflop? Assume the aces are against an underpair for simplicity.
An over pair will lose against an under pair 2 out of 13 times. = 2/13 fav
IMO you are in a very different position than the 'A-Aces,etc' position. You are 15th and if you fold you are 17th.... you are therefore not in that comfortable position, were others below you are likely to get involved in all-in hands before you need to consider playing hands again.
So its just played out and you get unlucky.
However, it does highlight that in most games such as this, players do not tend to understand the folding of certain hands given their stack size.... and this will happen ALOT.... and that you were likely to have qualified by folding Queens and Aces back in the other game. Does TommyD need to go all in with 10k and risk his position with just 9 9 with 3 left to act? Would anyone with a similar stack or lower be good enough to fold a premium-ish hand to this shove?
The answer is usually no.
So in the other example, that game should be well finished before you had to worry bout blinds again..... ive seen the 2 big stacks go all in preflop many times in these type of tournaments, where im left thinking why on earth dont they get it????? And it will be such hands as JJ V AQ, the 2nd stack will bomb out and all they had to do was keep folding! Many just cant fold if they have a premium hand, regardless of the obvious tactic.....
@TheWaddy this is exactly why you're supposed to shove A5s when you are a big stack...i do it all the time with hands. It's called ICM pressure or bubble pressuring both are much of a much. i will always call JJ and i will always call AQ on an FT because people shove with much worse often...if you always fold to a big stack even with a premo hand then you're being too nitty. thats my opinion anyway.

Of course this would be true of sliding scale cash tournament, i dont think many would agree risking your big stack in a 15 seat guaranteed tournament with 17 players left would be the correct play....
But again, when you are sitting pretty with loads below you, to fold QQ and AA is even more correct as this is the kind of mistake online many will make as they simply dont adjust to this type of tournament.
As you have agreed previously, im guessing you misread this was a guaranteed seat tournament?
This 3rd hand was my Exit from the same Tourney when I had the Q-Queens and A-Aces.
The A-Ks hand above was a couple of orbits later.
Thanks for ALL your input everyone....... Hope it helps other Players too
I still feel you are trying to justify your actions by saying you lost anyway. Thats just poker and even online poker! I think most of us with a few seconds to make a decision, would press call with AA, but had you folded im sure you would have won a seat.
Tommy pushing with 99 (with your kind of stack you held before the aces hand), shows something was likely to give before you had to consider playing hands again.
Another thing to consider would have been was everyone folding to these shoves previously. If yes, then you could have shoved once your position became vulnerable again and picked up the huge blinds. If the answer was no, then your stack pre-AA was likely to have been good enough to see you home.
Because I have to play more satellites to try to get in to Bigger Tourneys, I think I have quite a good record, and understand some, but defo not all of what I should do.
Any advice is really helpful ......and hopefully other low stakes players appreciate it too.
Keep advice coming please
..... I'm sure I'll be posting more hands on here
Sorry I just seen the post, god advice from Graham, and I fold both times in this situation . Have you read any of Dara's books ? All worth getting , GL.

This is what I chose to do.....
I'm always getting caught out...... sob!
You really cant afford to sit for a complete orbit to be left with 2bb.
It is the fact that it is your BB that makes the difference.
