TBH, I've never actually played live (except some home games but that doesn't really count) & I'd love to try and qualify simply because I think this would probably be a better environment to try it live for the first time.
Will this actually be running again? TBH, I've never actually played live (except some home games but that doesn't really count) & I'd love to try and qualify simply because I think this would probably be a better environment to try it live for the first time. Posted by silentbob
Hi Bob,
News is awaited with baited breath, but I'm very hopeful that the Man From Sky Poker will say "Yes"!
The G in Manchester on New Bury Road It would be ideal for everyone in the North West of England and North of Wales!! Very good train services to Manchester as well the airport. Easy access via car too with plenty of room for free secure car parking!
Extend the number of legs from 5 to 8 if needs be to fit some of the new places in as somewhere in the North West should be included for the next SPUKT!
LEEDS.....There are at least 2 casinos in Leeds that could host an event of this size and i know for sure that you wouldnt have any problems in selling all the seats, to be honest i cant believe that you havnt realised this in past years and you should capitalise on a great event at your pickof venues
In Response to Re: SPUKT LOCATIONS FOR 2009/2010 : I love Napoleons in Owlerton, used to be one of my fave venues, I've had many Cashes there, & won a Main Event there on my last visit. But it's just not big enough for a SPUKT Venue, sadly. Posted by Tikay10
I agree with bornablade and Tikay as there is very little live play here but also i live here
Dublin has to be on the list this year. Great City, Great venues, Great people, & of course Great Guinness. What about it Des.Went to every venue in 2008/09 season and must say I really enjoyed the weekends and ofcourse meeting all you guys from SKYPOKER.
In Response to Re: SPUKT LOCATIONS FOR 2009/2010 : I would say about 150 minimum - but there are numerous other criteria needed for a Venue to be SPUKT-compliant. Posted by Tikay10
hmmm like having one room and a nice atmosphere rather than split rooms to accomodate numerous players.
Plus I guess it is easy for all of us to say this casino here or this casino there, but TK for example has had experiences with his other 'hats' on and knows how each casino runs tournaments and treats the players. I trust Sky to come up with the best mix of locations.
