hi guys the only way, last year, was to qualify online through the satelittes. The only exception was the final where you could pay the£220 entry fee straight into, as i had to. This was opened to allow off line players enter, which left a bit of a bitter taste in some of the regulars mouths, although the only way to get paid was to open an account with Sky. Most of the final table, at that event, to my knowledge have never played here. col Posted by mr_mbro

Yes Alex, we know you did and u did fantastic! I have to say that SKY only tournaments would be my preferred option. SKY is a poker community and it would be nice to think that you were beating your friends/rivals that you play against all year round. I've been away for 6 weeks and we're still waiting for dates so you better make it good tikay!!!! Seriously though, thanks for all the "behind the scenes work" i'm sure tikay is doing on our behalf.

This must be wrong ? Have I got this right what your saying !! Top 10 from each event went through to a final ........then anyone was allowed to enter even if they had never played skypoker ? .... All anyone had to do was open an account and they could play on the day?
mr-mbro I'm not doubting what you think but come on, if that is what happened then this year ..why dont SKY just tell all the other sites they can come on the day of the final ??

I think were missing some here this doesn't add up !!
Maybe someone at Sky will clarify if a tour goes ahead as to how players can and cant get to the final event ?

This was very muh the case Benny, Col is spot on... I think 7 out of the 9 FT players were "non sky players" Only Pianoplaya and wainbarber were off sky (and iv not seen wayne on here since the final). That was the only dampner about a fantastic tour, a lot of players have made their feelings clear and hopefully it will be mainly sky players at the main event this year! There was obviously a problem even finding if one person from the final table had an account at all, as his "screen name" on the website shows his full real name and not an alias like all the other players?!?!?!

There is another side to that, though.....
I am not going to Post further on this Thread, buit I've explained the position clearly on the new Thread, in reply to Col (MrMbro).

Blackpool? No. The nearest to Blackpool would be, I think, Manchester, Glasgow, or Newcastle.
All the Venues have been listed in the Official Sky Poker Blog, or in the three new Threads on the Sky Poker Tour Board on this Forum.
Hope to see you at one of the SPT Legs.
It is a nice card-room, we chose Manchester for this Tour though. Not too far away from the Lancashire coast!
[QUOTE]it also never comes to the sw :-(

We wish it could!
There are no suitable Venues in the South-West, sadly.
It's almost impossible to please everyone with Venue choice, but they do try very hard.
