    lol, ul Pod lad.

He's on fire atm whatever game he plays. Stick at them bud.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Said to myself I'd put a quick 13 game session in before tea, to round off my total no,of games.

Was regretting it when I was 6-1 down, and getting my rs kicked in every game.

Turned it around and won the next 6, so start next session on a winning streak.

I haven't yet played one of these after a drink, it's really tough going, I don't know what buttons to press when sober!!!

    Anyway, update.

    Total games - 50

    Total profit - £18

    Total points - 150

I realise I aint setting the World alight so far with these, but things will deffo pick up, I'm sure.

I've lost more flips than the don90, and although I've had some miracle suck outs in my favour, that's not really what you want in these, it's the flips and 60/40's that are important, when I start winning my fair share of those I reckon I can book a few sessions there I win 15/20, and it should shoot up quick.

Wud also help if I could stop feeling dizzy after 2 pints, and get myself wrecked. Tomorrow hopefully ;)

Anyway, below is my last 10 games, whoever said momentum is the most important thing when playing heads up, might have been on to something!

I play mostly HU SNG's and have tried a few of these but can't see how they're any different to the Turbocharged games? OK, the start stacks are 500 instead of 1000 and the blinds increase by smaller amounts but these have 7 levels to 10BB total chips versus only 6 levels for the Turbocharged. So no real difference. Or am I missing something??

theere is a huge difference compared to turbos, mainly starting 25bb deep instead of 75deep so not as much play have to be on your toes from the off.

in short you have to be even more agressive in these, turbos are good but bit to slow for me so these are right up my street these new ones probably approx 5 mins id say turbos approx 10mins so obviously they are more convinient if your of out aswell

hope that helps they are defo much more of a buzz aswell so i recommend them ;)

Hmmmm. Most HU SNG's finish when we get down to ~10BB and it becomes a push/fold contest. In both formats that's at level 4 and after 8 minutes of play. Maybe the shorter starting stack creates a false sense of urgency? I don't dislike this format, I just can't see any major differences to the Turbocharged ones.

    Turbocharged (1000 chips):
    level 1: 10/20 (50BB each)
    level 2: 15/30 (33BB each)
    level 3: 25/50 (20BB each)
    level 4: 50/100 (10BB each)
    level 5: 75/150 (6BB each)
    level 6: 100/200 (5BB each)

    Sit and Dohhhh (500 chips):
    level 1: 10/20 (25BB each)
    level 2: 15/30 (16BB each)
    level 3: 20/40 (12BB each)
    level 4: 25/50 (10BB each)
    level 5: 30/60 (8BB each)
    level 6: 40/80 (6BB each)
    level 7: 50/100 (5BB each)

I haven't really been able to put my finger on exactly what it is.....

In fact I also thought the structure was the same, when I was playing hundreds on another site.

It was Acegooner who pointed out to me that the stacks are actually alot shallower throughout, which makes for a more topsy turvy dynamic.

With the hypers, (or the SND's) the game can swing dramatically on 1 hand, I never feel out of the running no matter how grim It is.

They just play/feel sooooo much different.

You might be onto something with the "false sense of urgency", tbh there is ALOT more play than most people think. A more conservative/risk averse strategy has caused me problems on several occasions today, it's just another challenge to overcome.

    ---------------------

If you turn it around, and sky had altered the existing turbocharged structure, totally scrapping the 1k chips format, I'm sure many players would have complained, and wanted the old format back.

That just proves that there IS a difference.

In such a volatile game, subtle changes can make a big difference.

Anyway, I hope you will play 200 or so of them before deciding for good wether you like them or not. I'm sure over a decent sample you will grow to like them, or at least realise how they play differently.

GL, hopefully see you in a game soon!

Played one earlier to see what like. Played against some keyboard warrior who continually berated me when I wasn't much in the mood to reply. His name might or might not have been associated with the king of rock'n'roll. It might or might not have included a number near the numbers 72 and 74. But as always happens in such situations my JK top pair ran into his 10-2 hitting trip 2s and then lost a 70-30 in my favour. Much to the idiot's delight. I wanted to win that more than the recent £200 Hi-roller I got free entry to. Sigh. A microcosm of my current run of luck.

Nonetheless, they look fun, but as already stated, the variance will be huuuuge. I pray they're eradicated from my mind next time I'm imbued by a bottle too many of red wine.

    1-1

Against a guy who has started a few in A51 (think it was him?). And he was a gent. Took the horrible beat I gave him with grace when I apologised. It genuinely doesn't take long to find out who the decent human beings are. I'm not saying chat-box stuff can't be used to your advantage if that's your wont but it's an idiot that thinks it makes a difference in one of these things.

Take me on on the forum Elvis73, I seriously dare you to. My keyboard's tougher than yours. Clown.

He's far too tight. And limp/folding w/ less than 8xbb all the time is gonna end in tears.

Would like to skope him but ran out of searches :(

Hope he sticks at em tho :D

edit - also possibly the most patronising, infuriating, tilting chat box user I've ever seen! lol. I'd have to turn him off.

Argghhhh, what a total word banned by Sky.

I know I wasn't playing optimally but he was hitting everything.

Against you (or any decent human being) I'd have said, hey-ho, variance is big in these things.

But, arghhhh. I wasn't tilting at all. I just reeaalllly wanted to beat the two words banned by Sky. Arrghhhh.

I'm on a mega down swing but I'm going to find him when I'm not. In fact I'm going to find him to take me out of it. Arghhhh. Is there any justice in this world? Arrggghhhh.

I know elvis, against certain players dohh is right just switch chat off. That is probably my greatest weakness that I get wound up by bad beats and react in the chatbox. Its nothing personal just it feels like the nearest thing to being robbed and you cant do anything about it. The book "mental game of poker" by barry carter has been recommended to me, i think ill take a look. Perhaps you should too bandini!

    Just a quick update.

Tried to play on Thursday, but again started to suffer with dizzyness/went light headed after about an hour.

So decided to take the full weekend off poker, and the laptop, just logging on in 10 minute bursts to see SPT updates etc. Feel alot better today, but gonna give it another few days to see if everything will stop spinning completely.

Played 16 games on Thurs, and did well to break even. Played like a total numpty.

    Total games - 66

    Total profit - £14

    Total points - 198

These are really good fun - you've got a convert Doh!

I thought I'd give these a try yesterday and mix them into my normal turbo dym session.

I think I'm hooked! I ended up winning 27 from 47 played, making a nice £23 profit with a 57% win rate which I was quite pleased with.

I don't normally play HU because I know the swings can be massive and I guess the true test will come when I run/play bad and hit a downswing.

I'll play another batch today and see how it goes.

Hope you're feeling better soon Doh, but not on my table. ;- />

    N1 JM.

Glad you're gonna play a load coz I want a turbo dym players view as to which game they think will be more profitable........

After you've played 150 or so maybe you can give your opinion.

Hoping they'll introduce 10.50 games next week, which will be alot better for your c4p thing. Will also allow the better players to leave me alone to crush the 5.25's :)

    Thanks Doh.

Yeah, unless I multi these like mad (which I'm def not confident of doing yet), there isn't much c4p in them so I'll have to keep my win rate up!

I made a loss on the turbo dym's last month (inc rake), but because of c4p I made it all back and more - ending with profit of £575. So c4p are obv v.imp2me atm.

I'm popping out now but will play more of these later and give another update late tonight, gl.

Played 8 of these this afternoon.

    Won 5/8.

The key is min-raising and 1/2-pot betting IMO. You don't have the chips to be 2x and 3x-ing it pre-flop, any c-bet will commit you, and never limp.

    +£8 in 45 minutes.

Ok, so had a horrible Sunday.

Only won 38 out of 78, giving me a measly win rate of just 48.7%

Made the mistake of playing a series of games against Acegooner and Slippery12 and got owned by both.

Worst bit was making mistakes in a couple of my regular turbo dym's as I was tiring towards the end of the session, that def annoyed me the most - can't afford to let these affect my normal grind game.

Oh well - another day, another dollar 2moro hopefully - lets see how it goes.
