Ugh looks like I was doing an IDCU impression yesterday posting results as they happened.

Very happy/relieved to get some scores in, much needed after Wednesday, for momentum more than anything.
I didn't get it all back, but hopefully the rest will come tomorrow.

Just played MTTs all day. No cash or HU or anything.

I've given a brief overview in the posts above, one thing I did notice is 'the numbers were up' ;)

Big fields in the few scary/speed MTTs that sky offer. The structures could be improved, the add on in the games is like 4 big blinds. Im glad that the turbos (or lack of) are getting noticed on TommyDs thread, hopefully we will see some changes soon. The UKOPS turbo night on Friday looks good too!

Decided to lock up the £180 profit after the last speed ^^^^^. Could have played PLO cash buy that could have gone either way. meh, will deffo get back to that next week. (sub consciously avoiding it again I think. sigh)

Played 4 turbo mtts, - cashed in 3.
    1 normal mtt - cashed.
2 times mtts - no cashes.
    2 sats - 1 cash.
PLO freeroll - no cash :(

    Month totals
    NLHE +16 Buy ins
    PLO Break even!
    Points 2287

lol, made like 30 points yesterday. lookout donttellmum ;)

GL all in UKOPS today & c'mon Chelski!!

    Hey Waller. (and Pad)

Lambert is right kinda, I don't really like big mtts with slow structures and big fields.

I'm not very confident playing them, my deepstacked MTT game isn't great, I get frustrated by them and very bored. Also £33 buy in is alot, even if I sat in like it's still me paying £33 of my own dosh to play, as I can take the money from the sat.

In the last UKOPS series, they ran lots of sats with overlay. I played one 1 day and won a £110 seat for £3. You couldn't take the money back then though, and when it came to the day of the tournament I just unregistered because I couldn't be bothered with a 6 hour tournament that I probably wouldn't have cashed in anyway.

I've done the same with the roller on a couple of occasions. I've either won seats in the old league freeroll, or gotten a freebie, and then just de-registered for the above reasons. And loads of mains.

2 hours is long enough for a tourny imo! lol

I like the Thurs night BH, it'd be nice to get some freebies into that 1 time!! ;)

Might play some of the mini UKOPS this week tho, 5r comps ftw! And will try play the Friday night main as it's a turbo. I say that now but if I sat in I'll prob just take the money haha.

Good luck if you're playing any of them!

so lambert is right......pure lazyness! :)

You are a winning player in all formats of the game.....I don't think you give yourself enough credit for this.

Am I right in thinking you prefer/only play whilst drinking?? If so, get a crate in and play some mains, you would cash in them for fun

    Just MTTs again yesterday (mainly).

According to skope I played 16, and made $154 there. I'm not sure about that, unless I've made some kinda error when calculating my balance.

I did fail in a few, the 5pm rebuy didn't go very well, and the ukops mini was terrible.

I managed to win one of the £3 direct sats ino the UKOPs main, capped at 40 runners and 2 £55 seats gtd. I also finished 4th in another one of those, massive flip for the seat effectively, AQ couldn't get there v 99. grrr.

That guy albania, think he went on to FT the actual event. He's sick agressive! Seriously, one of the most aggressive players I've played on Sky. Think he's good agro too! Me and Bromley had like 25k each when we started 3 handed, he just hammered us both! Watch out for him this week.

Won in the 6-15 speed (more of a big sng than an mtt) and finished the night off with a win in the £5r speed tourny below, 2nd in it 2 nights ago, managed to go 1 better this time.

I was well up for a shot at the mini UKOPs last night. I know I said long slow MTTs aren't my thing, but with everyone talking about UKOPS at the moment I was pretty excited about making a run in the mini!

Got the best table draw ever. Notes on a couple of players, and loads of limping in the early levels from the unknowns. I knew to get a stack going, I had to a) HOLD and b) fade any table breaks.

Got what I thought was a great spot, when I got the effective nuts in 4 ways early on.

    Sighhhhhh river!

Quite deflated after that. Tried to fight back, the rest went in when some guy min raised utg, and a caller, before It got to me. 1.7k @ 30/60, I just jammed with AQs.

Got 2 calls, thought I must be dead.

Utg makes a reasonably standard call with TT.

The guy inbetween us somehow thinks his AJ can be good?

So I'm flipping for a treble up and a 6k pot @ 30/60, 100xbb again with the big add on still to come!

    But missed. gg.

I played bits of PLO whilst waiting for tournys to load, think I lost about a 'buy in' total. I'm really useless at that game, need to concentrate properly if I'm gonna play.

Finished day +2.5 buy ins, +3.5 @ nlhe, -1 @ PLO, brings month totals to...

Wasn't that bothered about the Oct 9 this year. I didn't even know it started again this week, and didn't know anyone on the FT. Hadn't bothered to watch until this morning, total contrast to last year where I had a bet, paid ESPN to stream it, and spent all night watching it.

Helps when there's home players to support.

But saw a link on twitter this morning, so had a look, and got hooked. 4 hours later, it's all over!

It's inspired me anyway, I'm totally gonna crush the 2.20 deepy today!

    Risk aversion ftw. ;)

Reason for the early diary post today....

Seen theres a new sng format, 4x 4 handed tables, making 16 runners total and top 4 paid.

Looks good, but as always I have some doubts about it.

First one, 20% rake @ £1, and 12.5% rake @ £2. so dumb. Don't think it's possible for anyone to beat the games with that rake. And if it is, the realistic ROI is gonna be tiny. Hopefully the rake on the £3+ games will be lower, if they're introduced. But that doesn't solve the problem for the real low stakes players, got to feel for those guys having to battle against that insane rake.

Second one, I think the structures are abit unbalanced, and could be changed for the better. They blind jumps are a little too big. Yes it's a turbo, but turbo refers to the length of the blind levels, not the number of different blind levels.

Anyway, I've not even seen one run yet. Maybe it's because people aren't aware that they're there.

I'll reg for a £1 and £2 one in about 15 mins, hopefully you can join and see if we can get one going this afternoon.

gl all playing today, the mini UKOPS is mine tonight! Im gtd to last at least an hour this time, rebuys ftw ;)

15-20% rake is pretty stupid imo... bring out a new game, presumably you want people to give them a go, but put horrendous rake on them??

Sounds like a good bit of fun though (aint seen the structure yet).

You seen they got a Scary SnG thing going on today where you get double C4P... I know you couldn't care less about C4P but at least it means they'll probably actually run now.

    Not many running....

I asked a few weeks back if anyone had ever played lots of these and beaten them. Scotty77 said Sharksbite, a much better player than me, had played loads as an experiment once and showed a very slight profit.

Payouts r too top heavy, and an unbalanced structure again. 10% rake also pretty tough to beat.

    Pass! lol

7/16 regd in the £2 'Quads' sng. over half way there, come join ppl!!!

Looks good for a bit of fun, I'm reg.d, though I agree completely; rake needs to be set to 10% or less to get something like this turning over well. 6-max turbo STTs are raked at 10% at all buy-ins.
