Very disappointed to lose HU yet again, played a hand questionably, betting equity on the flop and shoving turn after 3betting as a bluff pre. All abit un-neccessary and the river didn't help.
Set the tone for the rest of the day, HU was cr@p.

Going to put a big session in on Tuesday to try and get below the £1k required point. Then having some time off in October.
Closing down early tonight, really tired, which is pretty standard but it's abit worse than usual tonight. Almost a perfect day, Europe won the Ryder Cup, Reed landed USA top points scorer @ 20/1, England won a very tense final in the pool, and I came 2nd in a BH ! ....almost, almost almostttttttttttt ! Don't have the figures/graph, as evilpingu who is my "skoper" is @ Wembley for the fake rugby, but I've lost most of the mtt profit playing HU. I've played horribly today. 1 of those days where the tiredness is just too much to overcome. Think the brilliant European captain Paul,Mcginley has a huge comma fettish. He uses more c,o,m,m,a,s in a speech than I drink pints in a year. Still, congrats to him and his team. And fu Phil Mickleson, Bruce Harman, and anyone else who blames Tom Watson for the result. Who's hitting the balls? Back Tuesday. Posted by DOHHHHHHH
It's bad when artists who paint angels are putting the boot in
After a brief self imposed break at the start, it turned out to be my highest volume month of the year on Sky Poker.
The plan was to continue with the Sharkscope challenge which began mid September, playing mainly HU sngs with some donkey hunters thrown in where apropriate.
For long periods of the month I was breaking even, 'booking' smallish wins, or small/medium sized losses.
I was struggling for any momentum, as soon as I made any sort of progress I'd be hit by some ill timed run bad which frustrated me, and induced 'play bad' and we all know there's only 1 outcome when you're playing bad and running bad at the same time.....
At the time I was extremely disappointed not to take it down, losing 77 < 44 all in pre flop for the win when Heads Up, and eventually 66 < 89s (dirtyyyyy flip) aipf for almost all the chips to bust.
Also final tabled an MTOPs for the 2nd time ($110ish), unfortunately busting 9th in a 55cent hyper turbo rebuy.
Crazy/fun tournament, the average stack on the final table was 3.5xbb.
My 3xbb lasted 1 hand when I found TT utg and lost to AK
So October overall was good to me, chuck in the 50 odd quid rakeback and we were around $2k up. Have good momentum moving forward into November too.
If Everton can find a late winner here, the month will have started awesome
Got some hands and stuff to post sometime, but wanted to keep this to just results.
VWP! Not really surprised as you're a lucky sod! ;-)) I bubbled two of those £33 sats! I really cant complain tho as I seem to do quite well in them! Better than RR to be sure. GL in Nov.
Ty Duck, Bonk & Pad Everton can fo. Skybet got out of jail big time there. Keep your eyes out for them enhancing prices next week, dare they try it again? Punishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Posted by DOHHHHHHH
Hi Dohhh
Think your talking about the 4-1 bet they wow great value. I had a fiver on it.
The most annoying was 15th/400 in a $3.50r with $1k ut. 3bet shoving 20 blinds over a mid position opener with 88. Cold called by the big blind, and lost to KK.
HU sng action is normally really slow on a Sunday. I think a lot of people are playing tournaments, or spending their poker allocation on roller sats or maybe 'majors' elsewhere.
For that reason I gave them a miss, and ummm'd and arrrrr'd for ages about playing the PLO UKOPs event.
I'm not very good at PLO, never really play it, but I expected a lot of people to be in the same boat. The game itself is a great leveller, if you've got a basic idea then you should be able to get your chips in with at least reasonable equity.
The plan was to play quite loose early, see flops v the inexperienced players who may over-value over-pairs, weak flushes and straights and bad 2 pairs etc.
Then, as the blinds got bigger and the better players remained, tighten up and try to play big pots all in pre flop, taking away any post flop edge these superior players might have.
It worked great, I was chip leader for most of the first hour, and held my position in the top 5 throughout.
Then the bubble approached, and it all went wrong.
Couple of key hands, which I think were standard, but probably aren't.....

Doh !
Went on mini tilt and played a few £21 hypers.
Lost a few £21 hypers.
Silly game selection there, paid the price.
Can't get in touch with my 'skoper' to update the 'challenge' figures, but think it was a -£120 day on the tables (losses in £ as always offset by a £53 skybet win as City struggled over the line in the Derby.
Congrats to Craig, Roguecell, Jac & Hitman for their great results last night. UKOPs off to a good start.
I'm not normally that bothered about UKOPs, I never play the events, but I've invested fairly heavily this series, am really up for railing a few of the 'horses' of which are 4, deep in some good events.
Happy with the choices, if it goes wrong then meh. I still think I've got m £££ in in good spots.
Challenge results to follow, gl to every1 playing UKOPs this week
My break even stretch on sky is getting longer, I'm making zero headway in the mini skope challenge, which has led me to playing more elsewhere again.
The highlight, (if you can call it that) of last week was a deep run in a micromillions event.
It was exciting and terrifying at the same time.
The effects of making a mistake deep in a big event like that are devastating, if i'd blown up I'd just feel puke and sub consciously tilted for weeks.
Anyway I bust in 24th place out of 10,000 for $80. "lollll". $5,900 for the winner !
UKOPs staking isn't going great. All horses keep bricking mains and crushing minis! Of the 4 people I've backed 2 have won minis, one has come 7th and 8th in a mini, and the other is Lambert. Posted by DOHHHHHHH
Long time reader, first time poster... I had a good weekend laugh at this. I'm sure Lambert is trying his best.
It's pretty horrible to wade through a field of 10,000 (after however many hours that must have taken) and then only get eighty bucks at the end of it. But, going with the glass half full scenario... look how many other players you surpassed on your way to that eighty bucks. That's got to feel good, right?
If there are any 'regular' readers here you're probably as bored of reading about the $25k challenge as I am writing about it and trying to complete it.
But it's DONE ! Finally.
I've had frustrating periods of break even-ness on Sky this last couple of months, but I was lucky enough to win a seat in the £55 turbo BH last night and managed to play well throughout and then awfullllll HU to finish 2nd.
Very disappointed, but the silver lining is it nudged me above $25k profit lifetime in sky formats that end in tournament
Looks like I donked some off HU after the MTT last night, forgot about that
I've been watching alot of live poker streaming recently on Twitch.
Most poker enthusiasts will probably already be aware of Jason Somerville and his 'run it up' series.
They're really fun/easy to watch, and you can really get inside his head and pick up how he is thinking. It's massively benefitted me. Unlike books/strategy vids which are pretty heavy going at times, it's a really enjoyable way to learn.
Google him and check his content out if you haven't already. Loads of his old shows on youtube, all free.
I'm not too sure on 'grind plans' for the next week or so, my computer is right next to the bathroom, which is finally going to be ripped out and replaced over the weekend and probably well in to next week
May just grind 2/3 tables downstairs on the laptop or something, or have a few days off altogether.
I won a £150 free bet last week also, need to find a use for it before Sunday. I'm struggling!!
Any tips???
I managed to fade Dons reccommendation for Scotland to win by 2 or more last night.

4pm, £11 BH.
Go into the FT 1/6 for the 2nd time in 2 sessions.
The first time was Sunday, when I lost 2 hands in quick succession to go from hero to zero and bust 6th.
Bossed it.
3 handed, I have 100k of 115k chips in play.
Bit of trouble getting rid of the 3rd place guy, but 90k v 25k going into HU @ 800/1.6k still looks good.....
1)
Still a decent result, and a good HU session to follow made it a follow made it a productive day, now within $500ish of the $25k 'goal'.
UKOPs ended how it started, no real look for the horses in the main, but we did get a 1st and a 6th in the side and the mini, again all off stake
Next time !
Many congrats JJ.
