    HI guys

    Thanks you for the kind words, i'll be sure to pass them onto Barry when I go up and see him again tomorrow.

    The op he is having today is somewhat minor in the big picture. He's having a tube stuck up the rear to help in the short term. He will have to have the 'big op' at some given point. But doing it the way they are, gives a better chance of saving his bowl overall.

    I'm sure Barry will be appreciative of all the support.

    My mother had bowel cancer 20 years ago and bre*st cancer 10 years ago.
    She will be 85 next month.

    Once the bowel cancer is out of the way make sure he checks his bre*sts regularly!!!!

    Barry was feeling a little better when I spoke to him a little while ago. He's finally been able to 'go'. Won't go into the minor details there!

    Hi all

    Yup, this is acebarry, as barry :), as you can guess, I am home, stent successfuly fitted, I have now to undergo the major 3-4 hour op to remove the infected part, they think they should be able to join the bowel back up, so fingers crossed, if not, hey, its only a bag to carry with me :)

    A big thank you to you all for your well wishes, I promise you it has helped me recover

    Glad the first part is over Barry,  Here's hoping the rest of it goes as well.
