Welcome to the forums, i suggest if you post in the poker clinic section you shall get a good response.
Obviously tikay will be able to help too but im sure there are a few ways to play it. i personally would bump it up to 500 ish, no need to shove with AQ & i personally wouldn't limp as you want to narrow down how much your against.
Also Tikay i suggested a while ago more £5.50 tourneys(NON-REBUYS), could you give someone a nudge or kick for me as between 7-12 there is rarely any other then rebuys just a standard one which they have at 5pm etc would be good
Dear dearest Tikay (you know I am after something now hey!)
You are respectfully invited to attend Michael's (DTWBANDIT) last longerer shin dig held each Monday night. It would be a pleasure for all us regulars to have someone with such high regard to join us if you are available.
The 3 tournaments we will be playing which will all count to an overall average score are....
7.15pm DS - £2.20
8.15pm DS - £5.50
8.30pm TOT - £2.20
A nights poker with added fun and banter all for less than a tenner!
I hope you will consider joining us. We will fully understand if this is not possible though. Perhaps you could mention it 'next door' to boost numbers if you get the chance.
Hi mate, I'm new to the forum. Quick question for you. I'm in a live game. It's a £50 freezeout. It's a very 'limpy' table. The blinds are 25/50 and we have our starting stack of 8500. 5 limpers. We have AQ unsuited in the sb. What is the best play here? A Make up the 25 and hope to hit B Rise it up to 250 C Make it 8500 TIA Vinnybhoy Posted by vinnybhoy
Deffo C, Vinny ....... it's hardly likely the BB's gonna wake up with KK, or summat.
Show you mean business - jam it ..... like a true pro!

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Thanks Luther and Young Gun. Now I'm a bit confused as to the best play. Will go have a look at the poker clinic. Thanks for the welcome Young Gun. Posted by vinnybhoy
Your very welcome sir, yep the clinic is defo the place to go here. there will be mixed opinions but generally more of 1 answer, just copy post from here
How do. Wondered if you (or anyone) wanted to weigh in on an ongoing argument some of the regulars at my local casino have. Mixed bunch £100 FO NL weekly (live)
What are your thoughts on the pre flop min raise AFTER an early position raiser if your holding A's. I hate it and would never do it as it just feels like you're inviting disaster. However one of my peers who I respect swears by it. To me i'd rather take the pot there, or give the B's no chance to come in + put more money in the pot if the inital raiser has a preemy. Thoughts?

I don't mind the play that much, as long as you realise that.......
1) We are probs pricing the EP Raiser in - which we want to do here.
2) We are, in effect, playing our hand face up. It screams "I have aces". So we often lose our customer, unless he is not so street-savvy, in which case, he may blissfully misread the obvious strength of our hand & pay us off.
3) We cannot flat his Raise, because now we are inviting others into the Pot, & we don't really want this coup 4 or 5 way.
4) To a degree, it depends what stage of the Tourney it is, & how deep we are both playing, too. Early doors, I don't like the min-Raise here, later on, it's probably spot on. Very late on - three-quarters or further - I don't even mind flatting here.
We never lose a hand if we push our customers off pre, but we also lose value, & we MUST try & get value from our big hands.
Tikay, Im new to poker, only been playing since december last year. I have been lucky and won and lost a few things all in all Im up I think LOL. Im getting to quite a few final tables, but with no exsperiance, especially one on one which as happened a few times now. Because of lack of exsperiance Im coming second or worse against the more exsperianced player. How do you get final table exsperiance without it costing a fortune and without having to read a book, which I have no time for in a busy work enviroment and home life. yours JIMHFX

Just made the 4 hour drive from London to Manchester in just under 8 hours, bleurgh.
I need to clear some stuff, & I'm playing PTP tonight, so bear with me, & I'll reply to the unanswered questions (including MAXALLY's) as soon as possible, maybe later tonight or tomorrow.

Play some sit and goes !
It is a different mindset required when you reach the last 3 on a final table, and it is simple to put yourself in this situation in an STT.
hi tikay,i know your busy, i sent you a pm on tues i think, could you let me know what you think phil Posted by pod1
Hi Phil,
It was not a question I was authorised to answer. I did send the question/request upstairs, but I don't really know if they have replied yet, as I've not had chance to log onto my internal e-Mail for a few days, as I'm stuck up in Manchester. I won't be back in th Office until early next week now, but I'll reply soonest.
Recently I have been playing a lot of SNG heads up and would like to know what you think my BR management should be for playing them . I currently am trying to stick to 5% of my BR as max buy in but dont really know too much about the variance in heads up .

Quick question for you.
I'm in a live game. It's a £50 freezeout.
It's a very 'limpy' table. The blinds are 25/50 and we have our starting stack of 8500.
5 limpers. We have AQ unsuited in the sb.
What is the best play here?
A Make up the 25 and hope to hit
B Rise it up to 250
C Make it 8500
TIA
