In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Hi Alan, Not sure I know - one of the Suits set mine up! But it's 100% free, I know that. I don't actually know how to work it very well yet, either, but I'm getting there. Vegas will see lots of tableside tweets from me though, & nothing is more instant than a tweet. My Twitter address is..... http://twitter.com/Tony_Kendall I think you can jon Twitter, set up your own account, simply by going to that page. I think the idea is that you then "follow" Tweeters of your choice. Including, I hope, me. James Hartigan is a serial, & very interesting, tweeter, too, as are many other Sky players from this Forum.  And I often give away freebies via Twitter, too. ;) I should add that my Twitter Account is on behalf of Sky Poker. But I mix it up a bit. I try & make a bunch of interesting tweets, then slide in a curve-ball bit of spam.* * I have been Banned by Mr Sky Big Suit from using the word "spam", so delete "spam", & replace with "enlightenment", please. ;) The thing is, I prefer to tell it how it is, but needs must as the devil drives. So, no spam. Please remember, though, that you have to elect to "follow" someone. Then you get all their Tweets.

How do you stop making stupid mistakes near the end of a tournament

I find that getting knocked out early solves this problem for me. It's 100% reliable.

Other players may have different strategies.

Why hasn't Owen got his bonus?

What's the square root of 11?

Could an alligator take a honey badger in a square go on land?

    What if?

Should I stop drinking before midnight on a Sunday?

    What time is it?

Does time exist or is it an abstract concept?

Can you explain the concept of Schrodinger's cat?

    Where am I?

    What's love?

Will I be a valuable employee tomorrow?

Could all the answers to above's questions conceivably be no?

Can you be sure that you are TK?

    What's real, what isn't?

Can the insane be proven to be insane?

I had a pair of Queens beaten by Ace Jack. Is this conclusive proof that Sky is fixed?

    Goodnight.

That may not be entirely a fair way of describing the problem.

What you are probably experiencing is the fact that a little mistake towards the end of a Tourney is usually fatal, as by then the Blinds have made it a Shove-Fest, so you are in one-move City. Earlier in the Tourney, we can easily get away from mistakes with mere surface wounds to our stacks. So we just think our stupid mistakes" are near the end, when in fact they are at any time, really.

The line between a good & a bad Call or Raise is extremely thin, so just because it goes wrong does not necessarily make it a stupid mistake. By it's very nature, we have to take risks in Tourneys, & risks are dangerous.

However (incoming enlightenment now....), at 8.30pm tonight, there is a beautifully-structured Tourney that costs a mere £2.20 to Enter, & which is not a shove-fest at all.

    "Take-on-tikay", 8.30pm tonight.

Question answered, & Spam duly slid in.

TYVM Jimmi, I appreciate your comments.

The Diet will finish at 7am on Thursday, at Gatters Airport. I went for my final weekly weigh-in yesterday, & I was spot on my long-term target weight - 11st 7lbs. When I started the Diet, in early February, I was an amazing 16st 6lbs. I'm fine, never been better, & it was all planned, but thank you anyway.

After Vegas, I'm gonna quit smoking, too. I gotta look after myself if I am to enjoy my golden fifties.

Why does the prize money for tourneys seem to be dropping ie primo and also players leaving the site but the entry fee remains the same.

    Hi Speedboat,

Guarantees & POrize Pools are lower at present due to the World Cup, & the fine weather, Online Poker is very seasonal.

Players are not "leaving the site", UPD & general traffic, measured over a 12 month period (the figures are distorted if measured in lesser periods) show double digit year-on-year growth.

I'm not sure what you mean by "entry fees remain the same". A £10 Tourney will always be a £10 Tourney, irrespective of traffic levels.

Yes - because there are fewer Runners. In fact I believe the reduced guarantee was exceeded considerably on Sunday. It's quite hard to predict "local" issues that may affect numbers, in this case the England Match, as at the time, the Big Tourneys were being put in the Lobby a week in advance, & once players have enterd, the Guarantee cannot be changed.

I understand the Jeremy Kyle Show has an impact, too. ;)

If you think this site is rigged in favour of the players that you name then I think you are very very mistaken, my opinion is that they are just VERY VERY good players, and there are LOTS more like them on this site.  Just wish I was one of them lol.
