Got 4 winners to lead the Jackpot Naps table Thursday and only backed one!!!!!, Backed my choices Friday and jinxed them all , just like my ratings as I seem to do better with my other choices recently. This was always going to be a difficult day with the CAMBRIDGESHIRE and some good races at HQ but I feel it is going to be very hard as I narrowed the Cambrideshire down to 6 and I had 5 out of 7 winners today at HQ, won the Placepot and very nearly got the Jackpot with 5 winners and a second. Lightening aint going to happen two days in a row.
For a change I will start with my thoughts on the Cambrideshire before doing the ratings.
CAMBRIDGESHIRE
As i said narrowed it down to 6 which I will highlight and fors and against.
1- BEAR FORCE ONE 40-1 -Worried re picking this lad as one of my favourite horses and perhaps I was going for him for wrong reasons. However with a line through Royal Marine he should beat Illaarab(9-1) .Also winners seem to have favoured up middle this week, Bear is in 17 and likes to be too the fore, coming from behind been difficult all week. Trainer says he underestimated in interview. Against- Will he get extra furlong. LOST
2- CERTAIN LAD 20-1 - Similar weight difference with his conqueror Sinjaari but this race furlong shorter and Sinjaari (15/2)needed all 14 furlongs to beat him. Also ground likely to favour mine. Against - low weights win this race. LOST DRAWN WRONG SIDE
3- LUCANDER 20-1 - Trainers horses in great nick and won well last time. Could be drawn well. Right weight range. Against-could be drawn badly 2ND
4- BELL ROCK 12-1 - Looks like trainer has waited for this and loved soft ground when winning here earlier on. Against - There might not be enough rain, comes from behind and might not get clear passage. 3RD
5- SIR BUSKER 12-1 - Unluckiest horse of year and want to see him get compensation. Against-Weight, comes from behind draw and doubt about stamina. LOST DRAWN WRONG SIDE
6- BALGAIR 33-1 - Won over C/D last week very easily. Against- ground could get too soft for him. LOST
Well an outsider who can lead won as I predicted, only problem not mine who fizzled out. GOT SECOND AND THIRD
