Dates, buyins, formats will be released towards the end of the year

As you may have heard on the show its moving to a calendar year format, so 2013 tour not a 2012-13 tour

We'll do the next two events, then do a big announcement with all the details

    Interesting line up.

I'll miss Cardiff, loved Les Croups and it was always a fun time out.  Blackpool I'm a bit meh about but it's a shame I won't have that excuse to return to the scene of the windy roller coaster and maybe have it open.

Dublin is obviously an immense addition and it's interesting to see the Broadway back, the site of the first ever live SkyPoker event a long long time ago.  I must find where I put my membership card, I think I've lived in three houses and used five wallets since.

Stratford is convenient for me, a swish casino as well.  I just hope they've extended the room by then, I heard they were putting in some extra space and really getting behind the poker room there.

Obviously everyone would like to have events local to them but it just isn't that easy.

Some of the venues in the UK just aren't upto standard to be holding a large poker event.  It's only worthwhile as a tournament if they have the capacity to hold 150-200 runners and most casinos just don't have a poker room to deal with that.

And even if they have the capacity, it doesn't mean that Sky should go there.  I have played a lot of live poker in the last couple of years, and tbh there was one venue where the organisation of the room just wasn't that great....of course the event went along fine and everyone had a good time but it could have been better!

When people are spening a large amount of money to buy-in/travel and hotels, they deserve a certain level of experience from the casino that is hosting.  It would be poor form for Sky to just put on a leg at a sub-standard venue just because it is in a good location.

Then there are issues like disabled access/catering/location/hotels/car parking which a lot of people who pop down to their local card room forget about.

Also there may have been scheduling issues where the venues just couldn't host Sky during the dates that were free.

Rich Prew is the number 1 guy in the UK when it comes to knowing live venues and their suitability to hosting large poker events.

I look forward to the new tour and also hearing the new plans for 2013.

The casino in Scotland just cant run the SPT very well - have tried twice and failed

I think the fact Ireland has been included instead is fantastic

The SPT coming to Ireland is great news. I've always wanted to try and sat into one but couldn't with them all being in the UK. I'm not from Dublin but it's a great spot for a weekend out.
