Today was not really a day to have played aggressive and the reason i say this is signs seemed to be everywhere i saw on Tv a flush do nothing but check his hand both on the flop and turn then decides when the board has paired and has a K that now is a good time to bet. the was also a hand on my table where a player with top set checked the flop turn and even the river when he was now holding a full house so didn't need to worry about a flush, when i made a raise with my set i saw the villian just call then he decided to check the river so i just went all in and it was reavealed he actually had hit a set on the turn but didn't want to charge much for draws.
if the passive players were loose and fish like then i would want to be aggressive and tight but if i see villians playing as passive as the ones today i thinking that i will play a much more passive approach myself but a loose one.
today i had a disappointing mega roller and i tried sending an e-mail asking if i could have some advice on my aggression in the early stages of the MTT but i didn't see any of my hands, next time i'm just going to leave the sky TV channel off and instead just listen to music because when it's on i always seem to be making more mistakes and some i'm thinking will be because i'm not putting enough attention into the actual poker.
Febuary was a month that was really about MTTs more than anything so what you could say is it was a month with much more varience than a cash month would have. The success i had in themain event a fortnight ago has got me to move up a level quicker than expected so this could be a busy month for me and poker.
The one thing that has seen improvements already is my 3betting making it less easy to know my hand strength. So my preflop 3betting has managed to see improvements the task now is to work on my aggression postflop.
so this march i have only got 1 target but that target is a big target, that target is MY AGGRESSION POST FLOP. It's time to stop worrying about getting trapped and start focusing on charging them hands that chase.

Nice own em post flop, but don't tell your opponents all your secrets;)
having gone out of the turbo MTT in the way i did, all i can say is don't get your hopes up when asking for bluffs because when your first get your first chance it was your last. i might as well say we were bluffed every street because i thought on the flop he was scared then on the turn i put him on a diamond flush or middle pair and on the river i allowed him to try a bluff. iweather or not i i played it wrong on the turn and should have either donked in or check shoved i don't know but it was a cooldown on the river.
i think it's time for me to take have a bit of a break as i might be in tilt mode, the odd thing about my current tilt is it's only likely to effect my sky poker game which sounds strange but, it's probably true.
the thing that seems to have kicked it off was when i finished 3rd my BR increased to £1K, the people who help me out with my life in general see this as a one off, poker itself is like other forms of gambling, the only winners are the companies themselves, sky poker in this case. so what's happening now is i'm certainly getting results orientated, worrying about the table losses knowing they will want me to make a withdrawl even more so and finally going back to what i was like from november through to the end of january when i was going over the top with the amount i spent entering MTTs.
I don't want to go back to putting the lottery on every week knowing the losses add up over time and i don't want to be spending very long hours playing micro stakes when i could have a reduced amount of time on the nl10p/20p cash now that my BR has got to what it is. so it's going to be 7-14 days of cooldown from sky poker and i'll play on 888 poker where my BR is just $53 before i do anymore damage to this one.
my first day back from poker seems to have told me that i needed the break after all.
I was watching the TV channel while playing and i didn't suffer with mistakes so i think i was certainly just needing a break.
I might have been playing too much for the sake of getting through boredom as i was in the house everyday except wednesday, now but i do volenteer work tuesday and thursday too and cycle monday. So once all that is over their is nothing better than to just sit back, have a few days relaxing and it's when i can easily relax that i will be playing at my best.
My evening had 1 sat, 1 semi, I was able to qualify into the main from the semi. In the main event itself i finished 25th and won £73.51+£140.62 from 8 heads

the mini was just a few heads which allowed me 60p profit. I also had 2 MS tables and did very well on one with a profit from it of £41.30 (nl10p/20p) the second one was a loss of -£11.13
overall my day was a profit of £232.03 BR £1087.69
today i was attempting to get into the super roller tomorrow but the sats didn't have the total needed. I did have 2 cash tables up at the time and they came with a profit of £6.90 both tables were nl10p/20p.
After about an hour i left to watch the match, waste of time really when remy is out.
tonight i went for a safer option and played some hi lo for fun as i was watching MOTD too so could have got some distractions , I did have one nl10p/20p too and got profit from that £15.32 while the hi lo got losses of -£4.54 and -£6.72.
it was a one off this week the money i used for the main tonight was just traveled over from the sky sports BH on thursday when i won £213 i should have still been over 1K and shouldn't have entered any sats.
the only main i will usually enter is thursday, the only reason i enter that itself is because i need early nights on monday and tuesday so the £11 turbo £5.50x2 in monday and tuesday mini and the £7 from the DTD can be used for the main on thursday.
tonight things have been a bit of a mix. to start with i bought into the semi and a sat for the chance to get into the main cheaper and it was a sucess. The sucess didn't last long when i went out so that was a loss of £14.40. The mini too was no better and i went out that with nothing, i did manage better luck when i entered a £500 BH and won £3.68 (£2.30). i entered a sat for the 4K BH which i got myself into but unfortunately didn't have luck in that event itself, finally i entered the 1K BH (£11) and that was one where i did make it to the final table but even that didn't go without a bad point where i held a set AAA on the flop did a check which the villian decided to bet but their comes a crash so i lost my hand.

the cash started off well with 2 massive profits £48.11 and £51.82 once i went out of the main and 4K i went on a few nl10p/20p but these ones were not so good with 3/4 getting losses of -£42.56 -£28.55 and -£4.24 the only win was a profit of £11.05 still i did finish on a profit and the BR is £1025.74
Last week I just remained quiet as I was a bit tilted over the amount of crashing which was happening.
So now that another 3 busy days of volunteering my poker weekend has started again and tonight the MTTs were not so good, in the main i went out through a failed bluff, the mini was just not giving cards and the 3K BH was just a unlucky river card which allowed an Aks to go ahead of my set (JJJ) with a flush.
After taking a look a some of my cash hands mind it's no wonder I'm sometimes tempted to go weaker with hand like that 44 in the main event

this person didn't do a raise which got me suprised especially when it's top 2 pair Was my value bet size right or should i just go full pot on the river when i'm not expecting him to make a 3rd a call most of the time after just Ch/C flop and turn unless he was trapping.
I might have had big chip stacks on cash tables Thursday but the thing with them was I didn't keep them big. Tonight saw another great cash session and the large cash stack was kept large this time.
So I had a cash table profit tonight of £62.88 £62.46 £4.52 £38.06 £4.92 and £16.95 -£40.34 -£20 total overall was £129.45
I did have a couple of MTTs as well but got nothing so lost £22 from them.
after getting into the mega roller through the semi I was feeling fine and relaxed but then things became frustrating when I switched tables. I could have went out early when I did suffer a big loss with an attempt to bluff and so was left with 5K chips then I recovered. The trouble came when I switched to a passive table and although these hands look like cooldowns they feel more like a bad beat because of him just limping preflop.
