its been recommended to me by numerous people because of my anxiety I have always said I will never touch the stuff, because based on a few things i know about myself I would probably be in the minority of people it actually **** up.
That been said I too have known a lot of people who smoke it, I think weed is ubiquitous you can smell it down most streets you walk down these days. If you don't know people who smoke it you either dont know many people, or are mostly involved with a particular community eg Mormons.
I have probably known hundreds of people who have smoked the stuff over the years 2 or three of them were badly affected and had issues, but it was clear they already had issues the weed just exacerbated this. However the vast majority were fine.
I used to be anti weed because of my conflict with the terrorists (they got investigated under suspicion of terrorism not sure if they were actually involved with they were Islamic fundamentalists and had made death threats to me) and the other saga with a nutjob who also smoked large quantities of weed.
all these people though smoked huge quantities of the stuff, like they chain smoked the stuff, like probably an ounce a day.
however then I saw a friend of a friend who could barely move who was in a lot of pain because of their disability non of the NHS stuff worked some biker delivered them weed and they smoked it and bamm they fine.
alcohol ruins lives and messes people up but we dont ban that because most people drink responsibly and dont go crazy.
Weed ruins a few lives but most people who smoke it are fine and some even are helped by it. It is an illogical position to think weed should be Illegal but Alcohol should not.
The problem with weed is not the actual thc or the effect it has on people, munchies aside.
People eventually build a tolerance which require either more of the strain or stronger strains and often this encourages people to try harder drugs and thus the slippery slope begins.

I dunno Mark , i had high tolerance when i smoked it it sometimes felt it had no effect at all but it never once crossed my mind to try harder drugs , i did all that in my twenties when i were clubbing , it totally relaxed me and i feel even now it made me a better person , i were a proper c**t when i were younger but the weed put paid to that and changed my whole perspective on life and i miss it to this day
Another thing when smoking weed it all depends on the individual person on how it affects them , their personality , their mental strength , what's going on around them so people react differently ,me , i had a strong foundation , loving family , sound job etc, maybe if my life was chaotic it might have been different

I have never used the table chat on Sky poker for over seven years, so you i think are confused. I also stopped playing poker in casinos in in 2012 and you appear to be 'grassing' on the wrong person. Sheesh
