In heads up SNG's, should we be able to have the decision whether to play the game or decline?

Thank you for confirming your Spock like personality.

Personally in this instance of the freeroll at 6.30pm, i would throw personal preference of types of poker games, dislike of all -in fests, barbeques, phone calls with my fiance, other outside poker interests in glorious weather etc etc into the equation.

Hourly rates is the at the bottom of the list, but each to their own.

When it comes to playing poker professionally then hourly rate is absolutely everything for exactly that. The more you can make in as short a time as possible frees up time to do other things you enjoy.
Im pretty sure we have established i play £1 HU and some £2..... you could safely say that is not professionally and therefore hourly rate is not important to me. Jesus....

Next stop, the player is a plant. Cognitive dissonance.

I had to look this up Ben @kapowblamz as I'd never heard of it before. Always good to learn something new :)

.....and for those who are also interested .......

    Cognitive dissonance

In the field of psychology, cognitive dissonance is the perception of contradictory information and the mental toll of it. Relevant items of information include a person's actions, feelings, ideas, beliefs, values, and things in the environment. Cognitive dissonance is typically experienced as psychological stress when persons participate in an action that goes against one or more of those things.[1] According to this theory, when two actions or ideas are not psychologically consistent with each other, people do all in their power to change them until they become consistent.[1][2] The discomfort is triggered by the person's belief clashing with new information perceived, wherein the individual tries to find a way to resolve the contradiction to reduce their discomfort.

Yup. It's super common, more than most people realise. I wonder what TheWaddy thinks about it.

Hmmm, its probably cos im looking for an ace or a queen, but the 10 comes and puts pay to that.... but wait its actually the 10d, which in fact gives me an unlikely backdoor flush and inside straight draw... which wins!

Only the 10d, of course, could create that 'exciting' hand. You are just so used to this now, that you are even passing it off as a non event.......

Yes i think its relating to life in general. I dont see it mentioning playstation poker and the need to believe the huge amount of enhanced hands or you are a basket case.

    I think i timed this at 9 minutes after the last post after mentioning the playstation;

Nut flush, nut low draw, against flopped FH. I make nut low AND nut flush... not bad for a heads up game 9 mins later.......

Before you say it was obvious he had a fH and deflect the playstation hand to 'my bad play'.... this was the type of hand below was what he was wanting to play big with all game.... needless to say, despite the game lasting 30mins and being able to pick him off at will.... i lost.

    Thats Saturday online poker!

Why do you keep posting individual hand histories? No one will ever care.

As long as it's mathematically possible it's supposed to happen. I doubt anyone even bothers to look at any of the hands you post, they don't matter.

Exactly that. I've never looked at a single one of the hands you've posted @TheWaddy .

Ironically you do yourself a disservice in your crusade to prove this is playstation poker rather than just poker by posting this ****.

@TheWaddy Incidentally, how were you at maths in school? This is not a dig, it's just relevant for obvious reasons. Be honest.
