In Response to Re: Horses to follow 2013 Flat Season : Snakes and Ladders 02/8/13 Galway 5.40 Has looked an improved performer since handicapping, fourth at Gowran in April before getting off the mark at Naas in May. Remains open to further improvement and looks well drawn. Unplaced Waited with in rear of mid-division, 7th halfway, smooth headway approaching straight into 2nd, soon pushed along and led over 1f out, ridden and no extra under pressure, headed inside final 50yds and dropped to 4th

    20/9/13 Listowell 2.25
Improved performer sent handicapping, justifying strong support to get off the mark at Naas in May. Shaped well after 11 weeks off at Galway latest (8.5f, collared close home). Interesting now at 7f.starstarstarstar Dwelt slightly, held up, 8th halfway, took closer order from halfway, ridden into moderate 3rd over 1f out and kept on well into 2nd close home, not trouble winner

However 3 starts for new yard this campaign haven't suggested he's a winner waiting to happen. Winner Held up in rear, headway to chase leaders 6f out, shaken up over 4f out, stayed on and 2nd 1f out, led last 50yds (op 13/2 tchd 7/1)

    24/9/13 Carlisle 6.15
Comes here on the back of a pair of wins in midsummer. Only 3 lb higher than for the second of those and likely to make another bold bid now starting out for an up-and-coming stable.
    3rd
Held up behind leading group, steady headway over 2f out, soon ridden, one pace final furlong (op 5/1)

    24/9/13 Lingfield 5.30

Clearly well-regarded (held a Derby entry at the start of the season) and shown plenty of ability in 3 turf maidens at up 1½m. Absent since May and unproven on AW, but sets the standard nevertheless.
Winner Always travelling well, tracked leaders, chased leader over 1f out, shaken up and quickened to lead just inside final furlong, ran on well, comfortably (tchd Evens)

Nine Realms 10/8/13 Ascot 12.55 Looked most promising in maidens early last season, scoring at Leicester in May, and wasn't given an unduly hard time when mid-field in a York handicap last month.
