Just played an hour. Played 4 tables for a change this session and was pretty much break even. One table (and oppo) was destroying me, playing any 2, not folding and hitting nearly everytime. I have just stood up as I was starting to tilt.

This hand is the same oppo again.......like I said he was playing any 2. His pot sized bet on the river after c/c the previous 2 streets just screams of a flush or a straight....every draw got there.

So, what have I learnt? Firstly I need to stop playing if and when I feel myself starting to tilt, looking back at some of the hands is shockingly bad!!

Secondly, I think I should set myself a maximum session time of 90mins because I did lose concentration during this longer session.

This was also the first evening playing 4 tables instead of 3. I have 4 tabled many times but the results here don't lie and I certainly seemed to have played a lot better whilst playing 3 tables. It could just be coincidence but I will be going back to 3 anyway until I have some better sessions.

Sending myself to bed now with no supper!!!

Must do better.

Hand 2...Could fold A9 utg+1, but never that bad to come in with a strong raise. Wouldn't be too hard on yourself, you were well ahead until river. Getting him to put money in with bottom pair/almost bottom kicker, whilst simultaneously repping way stronger hand than A9... I think I would reluctantly fold to the river lead but other than that I think it's ok.

Hand 3...Might take a stab on the flop but with 4 oppo's I'd def shut down to any resistance. Having said that, if this was right after 'hand 2' then I might well stack off!

Mixed session. Played around 90 mins 3 tabling 4nl and ended up down again. The "my account" page is still not showing the transactions so can't post results.

I'm not too dissapointed with the session because if it wasn't for this crazy call below then it would not have been a losing one. I just thought oppo was at it, very poor call by myself and one I won't be making again (against him anyway lol). There is a bit of a pattern developing where I make the odd big error, so I need to try and iron this out!!!

In game, are there any others who may think this is a stone cold bluff and call??......or am I just awful haha

I didn't play great but gotta say I ran worse. I had AA cracked twice, KK<QQ, KK<10 3 (after flopping top set and losing to runner runner flush) JJ<QQ.........I suppose -5BI sessions happen, but come on....if I can't beat  4nl wtf can I beat!!!!

Haven't got any hands to post as it was depressing enough seeing them the first time.

i'd be interested in how you played them.
i'm no expert obviously but I've had some feedback recently re playing big pairs,and it's surprising what I've learnt from it.
might be able to spot something?(or someone else will)

The AA's were only relatively small pots all in pre (which I will take every day of the week). The vast majority were all in pre which I would always be happy with......if they could hold that is.

I prob lost about 2-3 quid by defending my blind with marginal hands, down to frustration......this is the leak I need to sort out. I know I should probably stand and take 10 mins off when I feel myself getting this way, but at the time I find it really hard to do!!

Right, I have been sat here at my laptop since 7pm, 5 tabling 4nl, drinking stella and chatting with the missus, Just typing that last sentence makes me realise why I have had yet another losing session.

1. I couldn't beat it playing 4 tables.
2. I can't play 5 tables whilst watching telly and chatting with the missus.
3. From about 10pm I have been seeing 10 tables (unless I squint).

Post midnight poker has saved my backside..............seriously, anybody doubting their game should play 4nl after midnight. You can flop quads and full pot every street and still get paid!!

In all honesty though, 4nl hasn't got as many mugs as I thought, or maybe I'm just poor.

I played this oppo last night and he went from £13 to zero in about 3 hands. He was ALWAYS at it with nothing at all. He must have been drunk last night and sober today because he DID have a hand this time. My calls look (and are) poor but this was purely because of my history with him last night. I have amended my notes on him slightly after todays play where he was a LOT calmer!!

A pretty poor night of poker last night. I was rather drunk and should have stopped playing (if you could call it playing). Woke up today to find my BR lower but it could have been worse.

Looked through some of the last hands that I played and they aren't great. I can normally play ok when drinking but there is a fine line between being merry and full blown steaming......I crossed that line and carried on playing!
