Clawed a bit back form last nights drunken antics. Played a quick 90 min session and also treated myself to a primo sat (an unsuccessful one) but having a break now cos my head is pounding.

Was going to try and sneak into the top 20 of this promo thing but I don't think it is gonna happen. I'm 28th atm but didn't start playing until 2pm today plus I'm only 4 tabling........it aint gonna happen. The tenner would be a bit of a boost but it's not worth me breaking my balls to try and sneak in and find out I still only came 24th or something like that!

Just finished another hours session.......very eventful!!! Two massive hands where I came out on top in one and lost the other. Also the standard dumb call that seems to creep into every session that I play!

    Here are the hands

In this hand you could say that I asked for it by:

    a) calling when perhaps I should be folding???
    b) playing too cute when I do hit

    Not sure......opinions welcome!

Leave oppos name in, it was all cool nh's were exchanged etc..

    Evening Waller.

The nut flush hand...think when the shortie jams on the turn, I'd look to re-shove. Villain minraised into 2 oppo's on that flop so he clearly has something he likes. Outcome doesn't change of course as he is never folding JJJ there and then, but should another club fall on the river then you won't get all his monies (probably).

The AQ vs AK hand... it's a huge open raise from quite a small stack in early position. I'm pretty happy to bin AQ here, but think if we are going to play it then stick a raise in and look to get the money in pre. Villain had been pretty passive and then suddenly raises that much, which is why I'd lean towards a fold pre.

You make good points on both hands. I'm making quite a few mistakes recently, some of them very costly!!!

    Horrific session.......calling it a night!!!

Mixture of bad play and bad luck........mostly bad play if I'm honest. Can't get out of the cycle of winning session followed by a losing one. Getting quite frustrating.

    Few hands below..

Still not sure what to make of this hand. Oppo is unknown to me so do not have a clue what his 3 bet range is. Is this all the more reason to fold? Post flop I'm still unsure......hate this hand

Hey Waller still reading this regularly enjoying the updates, just some opinions on hands above.

Hand 1: Havn't played much 4nl, but from what i gather player 3betting then carrying on aggression on flop and turn= better than 10s, even if he has like 8s-9s he has flopped huge, doubt he would be barrelling with Ax hands. As played i would prefer to raise and get in on the flop, turn i 100% fold what are we getting in against that we are ahead of, i know we have straight outs but we could even be dead here, i think we can fold here to random player being aggro.

Hand 2: Got your money in good ul

Hand 3: Not saying i fold as i no doubt would make the stubborn sigh call myself, but feels like we are only ever calling to split so in hindsight easy to say lay it down wait for a better spot. Should listen to my own advice more often lol

Hi benc, ty for your post and well done in the cash promo.

Re: Hand 1. There are players who will 3 bet light and keep betting with worse hands at 4nl.......having said that though I would need reads to really get involved here and if I did think this was the case then I should have been raising the flop to get it in. I havent played the oppo in this hand before and didn't have a clue where I was......I agree that I should have just folded. I basically paid 4 quid for some info lol

Hand 3: It was hard to fold after flopping the straight, having a horrible turn card but still having a straight (albeit not the nuts anymore)......it was for me anywyay, especially at the end of a poor session.

Had the night off last night but back on it in a bit.

First, I have a question for any dog owners.......(WARNING, PRETTY DISGUSTING....do not read if you are eating, about to eat or generally have a weak stomach)

Just had a horrific experience with my dog. He was outside in the garden and as I looked out of the kitchen window I could see him eating something on the lawn. I went out to investigate to find out he was actually eating some kind of excrement (origin unknown)........to make matters worse he had also decided to roll around in it!!! GREAT!

I slung him straight into the bath and gave him a thorough clean, whilst trying to stop my dinner from making a reappearance!! Once he was clean I ordered him to bed, glad that my traumatic experience was over.......WRONG!

He then decides to vomit the eaten excrement all over my kitchen floor........wtf!!! The smell was horrendous!!!

What I want to know is.........Is this normal behaviour for a dog??? Is he trying to tell me to stop buying supermarket own brand dog food??? Does my dog have mental health issues??? Is he ill???

This is our family dog who we have lovingly cared for since he was a puppy 3 years ago.....this is how he repays us!! My stomach turns when I think about the times I have let this dog lick my face.......he is literally in the dog house and has an indefinite ban from the front room!!!

It's not that uncommon in certain animals.

Apes are quite well known for it, something to do with bonding as bizarre as it sounds.

It's also regularly witnessed in dogs. There can be numerous reasons for this.

It does not have mental health issues. He could be ill, but unlikely, unless he was showing any other signs.

A common cause is a lack of certain types of nutrients in the diet. Maybe try some dog food with a bit more nutriotional value than what is currently being used. Worth a shot.

I would just monitor the situation, and let your dog know it's not on.

Another thing that can trigger it is stress/ anxiety. I wouldn't worry to much about it, could well be a one off. And if he was sick afterwards, will be a good lesson in it's own right.

Yeah my mother in law mentioned something about lack of nutrients too. He has not had a change of diet though so I'm not sure what to make of it. He has never done this before........man it was disgusting! Guess i will just have to see if he does it again.

A mixed night on the tables tonight. Cash tables were a bit of a nightmare......one player owned me in a couple of hands so fair play to them, but other hands were just going against me. I flopped middle 2 in my bb, got the chips in the middle on the turn only for the guy to river a better 2 pair.....I'll take those spots every day of the week though.

Pretty much the story of the session really, flopping well and getting outdrawn.

Played the £500 BH and just finished in 9th......again pretty frustrated though as I was sitting 3/9. Got kings in the bb, button (big stack) limped in so I 3x raise.....board runs out xQQ, bet/call, jack on the turn c/c, river is another jack (also bringing a 3rd club).......what a shocking board......sigh c/f. Lost 77<A10 and then busted out with AK<77.

Still a cash is a cash but felt like I could have won.

NO, youve seen the canine version first hand you can guess the rest.

saying that, there was a lot of vids on youtube of people watching the said video. now they are funny but it might lead to curiosity as to what exactly they are watching

Finished another session, a winning one!!!  I played ok apart from 2 hands. One was just crazy and I rightly lost, the second I'm not sure about but I did win a nice pot. Will post them below.

    1. This is just madness on my part. I had just won a big pot against the oppo after I flopped a set against their overpair. I thought they might be on tilt, chasing the flush and just betting the river after they had missed. Big mistake.....they flopped the world!! After some thought I figure that betting the flop is ok, betting the turn is a mistake and the river is just awful!!!!

    2. After the limp I'm quite happy go to war with the shorty, fully expecting the limper to fold. When he flats my 3 bet I'm like ???? The flop is about as good as it gets for 88 so I stick him in....could not believe what he turned up with. Not sure if my play was correct in the long run though??
