Farmers have complained of BBC bias after a Christmas advert featuring turkeys wearing jumpers procliming "I love vegans".
The animated birds are seen celebrating meat-free Christmas meals in the short film released by the BBC.
They claim “less of us have been gobbled this year”, while a yoga teacher says “we don’t have to eat rabbit food for breakfast any more”.
The National Farming Union claim it is another example of a perceived bias against rural communities. The controversial turkey wearing a vegan jumper The controversial turkey wearing a vegan jumper. Picture: BBC
Union vice president Stuart Roberts said: “We are deeply concerned that the BBC appears to have started campaigning for a vegan diet in advertising for its Christmas programming, none of which appears to cover veganism in its schedule.
“It doesn’t appear to sit within the BBC’s editorial guidelines, which clearly states that they shouldn’t be a campaigning organisation, and this advert takes our concerns about the BBC’s impartiality in its coverage of meat issues a step further.”
Nick Ferrari is asking if you think there is anything wrong with the advert. Watch it at the top of the page.

The buyer of Olivia Newton-John's iconic leather jacket from the musical Grease has gifted it back to the actress after paying £185,000 for it at auction. The jacket was among 500 lots, including other costumes and an original script, being sold to raise money for the actress's cancer charity last month. But the anonymous buyer, a doctor and tech entrepreneur, said that the garment 'should not sit in a billionaire's closet for country-club bragging rights'.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has imposed a four-year ban on Russia from all global sport, including the 2020 Olympics and the 2022 World Cup.
WADA's executive committee took the decision after concluding Moscow had tampered with laboratory data.
The agency found Russia planted fake evidence and deleted files linked to positive doping tests that could have helped identify drug cheats.

We have Conservatives withholding Russian enquiry till after election wonder why.
