Appeared in loads of things. My favourite (although very much of its time) was "Get Some In", where he played a great straight man to a young Robert Lindsay.
Example:-
"What is your name?" "Smiff" "Smiff? Smiff? Is that 1 f or 2? "Free."
Michael K Williams: The Wire actor found dead in his New York apartment
Didn't know about him until you recommended Boardwalk Empire and The Wire, what a great actor and very believable and likeable in both roles. Surprises me that he was only 54 though.

He also made a few appearances in Minder, playing a thicko. I've always liked him but I don't know why, I guess it goes back to Get Some In. The 70's & 80's may (rightly or not) get criticised but they produced some classic T.V.
Boffin who blew a fortune on the dodgiest three-wheeler since Del Boy's: Sir Clive Sinclair - who has died aged 81 - was the brilliant inventor with a racy love life who gave home computing to the masses
