Looking pretty pleased with himself, & no wonder. This lovely young man is Adam Owen from Folkestone, just moments after he won his table in the $3,000 NLH Shooutout today.
He's better known as a Mixed Games player, but clearly he's pretty decent at the 2 card stuff, too.
This gentleman is a former WSOP Main Event winner, & also has 4 other Bracelets to his name.
Great thing about Vegas is the chance to share tables with guys like this.
I play a lot of PLO8 & Big O with him, have done for many years, & I'm not sure I've ever seen him have a losing session. If he's in the pot with you, you better have the goods.
Amazingly, he is 82 years old.
His name is Berry Johnston, & he also holds the record for cashing at the WSOP at least once every year for 29 years.
Goodness me, you there already? Whats your agenda for this year?
Whatever it is have a wonderful time, win lots of big pots and don't work too hard. Say hi to Mount Charleston Lodge for me.
Good luck to all Sky players who will be there later this month.
Missing you already

Hi MOTHER,
Was wondering whether it was worth continuing with this thread, as there had not been a single reply, so really pleased you chimed in.
Plan this year?
First 2 weeks (starting tomorrow) non-stop PLO & PLO8 MTT's, pretty much every day.
On the 16th I'm scheduled to play a $1,500 WSOP Mixed Omaha affair on the very day Gill arrives. She is due in at Noon, & it starts at 3pm...... Not sure if I dare play it, it feels a bit naughty, but I'm sure she won't mind, it'll be my conscience that is tortured.
Obviously, I have a bit of work to do for SPT Las Vegas - do a Live Update, attend the Welcome Party thing, etc.
Gill & I are heading up to Seattle for a couple of days, too. We fly to Portland (Oregon), then catch the Amtrak Cascade train up to Seattle, where we will visit the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, & the other tourist stuff, including looking at the world HQ's of both Starbucks & Amazon.
We stay overnight, & then, next morning, comes the piece de resistance.......
It's not only the biggest building in the world, but they make cool things.....so we are taking the Factory Tour;

Will be following this everyday with great interest. For those not luckier enough to get to Vegas, these threads really give us a feeling of being there. It will be the 1st thread* I go to when having my morning coffee/evening cocoa.

This guy was also Heads Up on his Shootout table last I saw, after a really long battle.
What a player he is when he takes it seriously.
Likes a gamble.
It is, of course, John Duthie.
