My taxi from the station took me along Bridge Street. Now there's a memory.
A few years ago - 10 or 12 maybe - I had a modest financial interest, via blondepoker, in a poker club in Bridge Street, called Cincinnatti's, aka "Cincins".
Oh my. It was like digging a great big hole in the ground, throwing bundles of money into it, then setting fire to it. The mere memory of it makes me shudder.
We will keep the main updates until Sunday, when we'll do chip counts & the whole lot, but today it'll be a bit hit & miss. Any questions though, post them on the thread & I'll do my best.
This is going along nicely, level 5 and we already have 146 runners, with more arriving at regular intervals. Should make up into a tidy prize pool.
Really nice atmo here, and I have a lovely fun table, real nice people, including SUPERSNEDD, TheMadMonk and Allan23. Good craic.
IrishRose is here, and playing, and MOTHER just made an appearance but not playing until tomorrow.
Last I heard Sky James had 65,000, yikes. I've been in a ton of pots but it's two steps forward and three steps back, so still only got 25,000, which is starting.
Not much happening at the tables, but it's all action at the various bars here. There are going to be some serious hangovers tomorrow morning, trust me.

In the background here, right at the back, you can see the big grey building, that's Colditz, trading as the IBIS Hotel.

Here's Cincins in all it's glory;
3.30pm - Folks slowly wandering in.
That's the Clyde, right outside the cardroom.
Brings a whole new meaning to "the river".
Play is about to start.

After a very quiet start, we are now just over 100 runners.
Lord Channing is present and correct, and in fine form.
Settling down nicely now, 2 levels in and we are up to 116 entrants.

We are currently on the 3rd break of the day, the bar is packed, & folks are getting, well, you know, merry.
With 157 entrants so far today (late reg closing about now) there is already £31,400 in the pot.
Sky James is creating havoc, up to around 100,000. I have slightly less.
Any updates at the tables and at the bar?
He's very happy though, very happy indeed.
