Honestly though, variance CAN be brutal. But I genuinely think it's mostly in your mind. And once it gets you like that, the best advice is to take a break, or maybe try your luck elsewhere. I'm certainly not going to suggest you play on as it's clear you are not enjoying it.
If you play poker every night, you are going to take beats every night. On any site, anywhere, forever. You just are. And of that hurts, then you need to do something about it.
Whatever you decide, try to think positive, & most of all, enjoy it. And if you can't enjoy it, either take a break, play elsewhere for a while, or quit.
I really don't like to see folks getting their head in a mess over poker. Life's too good to let poker upset us.
Ive been through some really bad runs in the past and I learned to take a break, so my advice is as above from tk. Either learn to live with it, dont play so much or lower your buy ins. Maybe stick to the 3.30 bh until confidence is back as you can get your money back through bounties and if you lose a hand just rebuy. The hit of losing 3.30 isnt gonna bother you but you can make some ok cash on it and not worry about losing all ins as can reload and live again. Overall you have to accept that your gonna get beat even with what you might think is a monster hand. I hit sets, flushes, st8s even Full houses and still lose with hands like this on a daily basis. But you only need one win and your back on top. Play with what your willing to lose money wise and it wont hurt so much. Just have fun and if its not fun you gotta take a break. Bad runs can last along time. If you find your shoving all in a lot and losing try changing your tactics. If you get your chips in good thats all you can do the rest is upto the poker gods. Playing angry never helps either always play happy and you will see huge improvements. Its not just about playing poker hands its about getting your head right and how to deal with loses.
