Still pugging away at 4NL been playing a mix of 6 max and HU. Also just won a £3.00 + £0.30 £150 Bounty Hunter for just short of £30 and £15 in head prizes
Good stuff. How's heads up been going? And when do you think you'll be back at 10nl?
Just lost 2 buy-ins in 2 hands at PLO. Fun game but high variance, still think I am going to try and play a session or two a week for a change. Just entered a £2.00 + £0.20 £100 Deepstack MTT

To be honest mate I haven't been playing loads of HU but what I have played it has went well thanks (since Monday anyway)
Only just realised in the hands posted above I wasn't playing PLO I was playing No Limit Omaha lol I thought some of their raises where big when I was just potting it.
I plan on spending a few weeks back at 4NL playing a mix of NLHE 6-max, HU and PLO and a few low stakes MTT's even though I am not a big fan of the format they are relatively soft and a nice boost to the bankroll if you manage to come in the top 3 or so.
I want to try my second shot at 10NL with a much better mind frame and also about 40 buy-ins in my bankroll. I also have not yet finished reading Jared Tendler's book but from what I have read it has really opened my eyes so I do think my next shot will go a lot better than last time.
I don't know anyway, when I get to £200 which is not far away I might just add one day's worth of 10NL a week into playing schedule as a training session then even if I drop 5 or so buy-ins I have no need to panic as I am still more than rolled with £150 for 4NL. However like I said before I am back full time at 10NL I would like 40 buy-ins just so I don't have to panic when I hit a downswing.
I was pleased to see a few Omaha hands here earlier, though NLO is not my cup of tea, The Great Game should always be played as PLO.
Definitely not a game - NLO or PLO - I would recommend to anyone at the early stages of Bankroll Challenge though, unless you are happy to reload.
I've known a few PLO players over the years who have "spun-up" small amounts to 5 & even 6 figure sums, but I've known an awful lot more who have gone busto. The variance is brutal.
I saw that one you posted earlier, 9's full which was no good. It's such a tough spot though, it's not a starting hand you'd ever enter a pot with, but when you are in for blinds & the others limp in, & then you hit the Board hard hard, it's very hard to lay down.
I will be donating 50% of overall profit combined from the 4 tournaments to: AIR AMBULANCES UK (Great North Air Ambulance)
My younger brother passed away 2016 and that is where all donations from his funeral where donated too so something I would like to carry on supporting.
So total package for 4 MTT's comes to £22 meaning that anything over that amount will be split in half and donated. Proof of donation will be posted in this thread if I manage to cash so wish me luck
So sorry to hear about your brother @ALAN_18 , I know how that feels first hand. I will add 20% to whatever you donate, up to a maximum of £20.00, maybe others could do something similar.
Great initiative @ALAN_18, & I'm sorry to hear about your brother.
As it happens, SB&G, up in Leeds. do a large amount of charity initiatives, & each year they select a different local charity. This year their chosen charity is Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

@Tikay10 Do you watch JoeIngram1 aka Chicago Joeys Podcasts by any chance ? Or does every one who plays PLO refer to it as the great game I also agree that to anyone starting a bankroll challenge NLO and PLO are not the way forward as variance is crazy but I tend to just mix a table or two in with my usual session for fun. Do you prefer PLO over NLH
Yes, I watch most of Joey Ingram's stuff, ditto Doug Polk.
I used to play Pot Limit Hold Em back in the day, but it died out & so I briefly switched to NLH before discovering the joy & beauty of PLO.
For the last 8 or 10 years I've almost exclusively played PLO, PLO8 & more latterly Big O. I don't think my THM has a single NLH cash on it since around 2008.
I no longer play live poker in the UK, as there's very little 4/5/6 card action, but I play for a month or so every year in Vegas, all the PLO, PLO8 & Big O stuff, including the WSOP events. I play MTT's there every day when possible, then on blank days, or after early exits, I play Big O cash, either at The Rio or Venetian.
It's the highlight of my poker year, playing Omaha variants in Vegas. Abso love it to bits.
If I could choose how to waste the rest of my life, I'd play Omaha every single day.

Really ? Not even in London ? Or just not the stakes you wish to be playing ? I too watch all of Joey's stuff (he gets all the best guests), not so much of Doug's though (find him a bit annoying although rather intelligent)
I also really enjoy Jonnie Vibes VLOGS, if you have never watched them Tikay I strongly recommend them.
What is the Big O stuff ? The 5 and 6 card variant ? I can see that being real hard to put players on ranges. How about Short Deck Poker like they play in Macau ? Have you played any of that ? I can see a lot of the action shifting to that in years to come so may start looking in to that at some point. (Need to get better at standard NLH first though)
Lastly can you play open face Chinese poker ? And is it hard to pick up ?
