I tend to like my bad beats one after another, thus taking me from probably being chip leader with 9 left to leaving the tournament, makes me appreciate the better things in life, like hitting my thumb with a hammer.

Edit as I posted hands from different tournament thus not proving my point at all!

Big poker update from last night
I needed 18 points to make a fiver in rakeback so i had a quick dabble. Huge volume player me these days
Made £8 and got £5.08 in rewards :)

@Angmar2626 thread inspired me to look at this years results
It’s been fairly decent and around what i hope to make each year
According to Sky’s win loss summary i’m up £6741 for the year
I’ve made just over £1.2k from rewards and promotions as well

I’ve played live once this year (something that needs addressing next year
I qualified for the SPT online and so it seemed like a freeroll but i did lose £50 in the Sunday night tournament at Alea

So i’m pretty happy with the results
The last 2 months have been very good to me which has really helped.

Going into next year i really want to continue to play more mtts
With the uncertainty over Sky’s future i think i need to do that. Not many other sites offer dyms and there doesn’t seem to be huge traffic on the ones that do either.

Experience has taught me that there’s no point aiming for priority on a regular basis. I just can’t manage it. But i should play more than i have done
£20k is certainly out of my reach but i’d like to think if i played enough i could make £10k

So that will be my aim

If you could stick to the Mtt’s above a fiver buy-in , that’d be great.😉
Hope you and family have a happy peaceful Xmas .

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks mate.

I'm a little unwell at present - just 'flu, but I've had it for a month now, & it's been unpleasant to say the least. As luck would have it, Gill is not coming down over Xmas, spending time with her Dad in Derby instead, so I can spend Xmas on my own, which the way I feel with this 'flu, & general Xmas feelings, suits me fine.

She always spends Xmas Day with her Dad (he's getting on), then comes down to me on Boxing Day. This year though she has to work (thanks, Bet365), so she is coming down middle of next week & staying for a week, & we'll have our Xmas then.

Oddly, all that suits me fine. I like being alone at Xmas, as I don't celebrate it in any way, shape or form. Don't buy pressies or send cards, nothing. I'm not religious, so Xmas is meaningless to me really. I do enjoy the Sport on the telly though, Cricket, Horse Racing & Football. I CBA with the darts, it's all so puerile.

Thank you for asking, its appreciated.

Will you be spending much time with Harry? He's just about THE perfect age for Xmas.

Have a smashing Xmas Paul, I know it's been an up & down year for you, but we have to look forward, don't we?
