Derby are very good. It's just that Brentford are a lot better, & are really a Premier League team.

    Derby are shite...

    Except when they play Preston.

Had to laugh at the "turning back the clock" commentary on Rooney's free kick - as if his free kick ability would had deserted him? It's not like he recreated the 2nd goal v Croatia at Euro 2004.

    Derby were still shite

    No poker last night

My motivation to play is weak at the best of times. I’m really not a fan of online poker. I try and do just enough.

Harry had his school report today
It’s very good but he’s a huge disappointment to me. No interest in sport whatsoever. Who wants a clever child who will always do well in life when you could have a thicko who goes to football with you and plays golf with you?
There still time to work on him i spose.

Typically it’s busy at work today when i need to get done.

Mums 70th birthday and we’re having a little get together in the garden.
I guess we’re all a bit biased but she’s the best person i know.
She’s had to face a lot of battles and yet she always smiles and never complains. I wish i was more like her.
My sister Sal is just like my mum and hugely popular. I’m more like my Dad and although i’m not awful, i do grumble from time to time

    Dogs

Never had one but always wanted one
Never really had time and so wouldn’t have been fair

    However
Harry wants a puppy. Melissa is going to work form home long term and she loves dogs too.
    So now it’s possible

    What make is best?
Quiet and smallish and good with children preferably

    Paul,

You should drop a PM to Red-Dog (next door), he'll advise you well, he's like a dog whisperer & knows dog breeds inside out.

We pick up our Cockapoo tomorrow so I'll let you know in a week.

Unless you're desperate, or are friends with a breeder, I would wait a couple of months or so. Dog prices skyrocketed during lockdown and they still haven't dropped back down to pre-lockdown levels.

How about a small breed that you don’t have to walk? Would recommended a cat.

I have two German Shepherds, they are good with children but fail on the other two.

No matter what you decide please consider rescuing one, there are so many dogs needing a good home.

We've had several Cavalier king Charles spaniels.
They have all been really good with kids and don't need too much exercise.
