    Immunity to coronavirus could only last six months, study finds - casting fresh doubt on ministers' plans to give survivors 'immunity passports'

    Research from the University of Amsterdam said after 12 months people were frequently
    reinfected and after six months there were less antibodies.

    Calls for Dominic Cummings to be SACKED for breaking lockdown rules by driving 264 miles to his parents' home with his wife and son while he had coronavirus symptoms... only to be caught after neighbours heard Abba blasting at full volume

    Maverick No10 chief Dominic Cummings (pictured centre with Boris Johnson and top right with wife Mary Wakefield) travelled from London to his parents' Durham farm in March to self-isolate with coronavirus symptoms - despite the government's own restrictions banning non-essential journeys. The bombshell revelations sparked accusations of hypocrisy with Mr Cummings' position branded 'untenable', and signs of disquiet among Tory MPs. Dorset police and crime commissioner Martyn Underhill warned this morning that the flagrant breach will be thrown in the face of officers as they try to restrain sun-seeking visitors on what is expected to be a hot bank holiday weekend. But extraordinarily, sources close to Mr Cummings claimed he is 'not remotely bothered' about the storm caused by his actions, and there is 'zero chance' of him resigning. No10 has refused to comment officially, despite questions about what Mr Johnson knew and when. The PM's official spokesman told reporters at the time that Mr Cummings was isolating 'at home'. MPs said the silence showed Downing Street 'didn't give a monkeys' about the public, while Dave Penman, chair of the FDA civil service union, said stonewalling was the 'modus operandi' of No10 and it is 'not good enough'.

    Dominic Cummings. A man who sums up everything that is wrong with this country.

    Unelected. Never voted Conservative. Treats the electorate with contempt.

    Lies to everyone. Tells everyone else what to do, but doesn't feel the need to follow this advice himself-that is for the little people.

    His wife is a senior journalist. Gets paid for writing an in-depth article about the family's illness-forgets to mention that "home" was a 500-mile round trip from home. and go to live in a property with an at-risk group-his own parents.

    When caught, doesn't do what everyone else does. No falling on his own sword. No, seeks to justify his actions, and the misdirections and half-truths that others gave on his behalf.

    Despicable man. This country deserves better.

    It might have been an escape plan, put together by his little son.

    Who could blame him?

    Has anyone got a good word to say about him?

    Isle of Wight contact tracing trial undermined by people on UK mainland downloading the app

    The contact tracing trial on the Isle of Wight is being undermined by people on UK mainland also downloading the technology, members of an ethics board overseeing its development have acknowledged.
    Sources close to the development of the Covid-19 tracking technology say the Government may now be forced to rush through a second trial before the contact tracing app is introduced in June.
    Two figures close to the ethics advisory board appointed by NHSX have told the Telegraph of scenes of "chaos" prior to the technology's development.
    Of most concern to the board is repeated difficulties in obtaining information from Government - including, initially, the questions that would be put to the public to identify symptoms on the app.

    Now EIGHT Tory MPs demand the head of Dominic Cummings: Top Brexiteer Steve Baker leads anger on backbenches and says Britain 'can't afford this nonsense' over claims the maverick aide broke lockdown three times

    No10 aide Dominic Cummings travelled from London to parents' home in Durham when he was self-isolating
    Witness testimonies have cast doubt on the Downing Street aide's insistence he 'stayed put' at parents farm
    One claimed to have seen Mr Cummings 30 miles away from farm on April 12 amid tight travel restrictions
    A second then said they sighted Mr Cummings back in Durham on April 19, five days after returning to No10
    Revelations have poured petrol on the row engulfing Boris Johnson's right-hand man, who has so far clung on

    Mr Baker, a former Brexit minister and a senior hardline Brexiteer like Mr Cummings (top right), broke cover to demand the advisor be removed, demanding the Prime Minister 'take back control' of events squirming from his grasp. The Prime Minister has mounted a determined defence of his controversial lieutenant over revelations he travelled 260 miles from London to Durham (bottom right) while the public were told to stay at home, telling allies: 'It's not like he was visiting a lover.' And senior ministers have rallied around the Machiavellian figure, insisting he was acted as a concerned parent and broke no rules. But just as the Prime Minister resolved to stand by his right-hand-man, Downing Street adviser was rocked by fresh claims of flouting the strict national guidelines from two more witnesses, which whipped up a further frenzy for him to be sacked. Mr Baker told Sky News (left): 'If he doesn't resign, we'll just keep burning through Boris's political capital at a rate we can ill afford in the midst of this crisis. It is very clear that Dominic travelled when everybody else understood Dominic's slogans to mean ''stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives''. And I think mums and dads who very much care about their children and who have been forgoing the childcare of their extended family will wonder why he has been allowed to do this.’ But Transport Secretary Grant Shapps attempted to defend Mr Cummings, telling Ridge he was 'trying to do his best' for his four-year-old son.

    Just watched the briefing...

    The person running this country has to go.....DomCum has to go

    That rabbit in a headlights performance as Bojo read the statement that Cumface had prepared

    I knew that this govt were arrogant and insulting towards the general populous but that briefing performance was the most insulting it could be, cutting each journalist off before they could reply...did you see Robert Peston’s exasperation when the camera cut back briefly?

    I saw a great tweet recently...” if you really love the NHS, don’t just clap but vote the Tory’s out!”

    J.K. Rowling Perfectly Shuts Down Tory MP's Defence Of Dominic Cummings In Just One Tweet

    J.K. Rowling

    @jk_rowling

    I know ending stories and this ain't it, chief.

    Dominic Raab

    @DominicRaab

    It’s reasonable and fair to ask for an explanation on this. And it has been provided: two parents with Coronavirus, were anxiously taking care of their young child. Those now seeking to politicise it should take a long hard look in the mirror.

    So those who make the rules get to break the rules? Your government explicitly told us not to visit elderly relatives. Look in your own **** mirror.
