Don't know how they will decide who is eligible for a refund and who's not as players will have been affected in different ways. Some would not of been able to play any hands, some 3/4 of their hands but who's to say the hands they missed were not the hands they would have won a big pot with for instance also if you are running good and half the table are away it dramatically affects your stack building potential (no good getting aces and kings etc....if no one is there to call). If you paid the entry fee you should expect to be able to play 100% of your hands. I myself cashed for little more than the entry fee in a few but would still consider myself affected and would expect some sort of compensation as i had to constantly reload tables (which drastically affects your concentration), get folded out after i had raised the pot, at one point the rest of the table was away apart from one other player, so was left heads up with a much better player than myself (most people on here) needless to say for that short period it wasn't working out to well for me .... to me all customers should be compensated (even ones that were not affected with loading issues as it would have affected them in missing potential pots and it would have affected the overall outcome of the tournament in different ways. If you pay to enter a tournament there is a certain standard that you expect unfortunately Sky did not manage to deliver their usually high standard service for a short period on sunday and all tournaments affected should be compensated.
As far as I am aware, the site has been operating normally since just after 10pm last night with no further issues reported to CC or on the Forum.
The investigations by the Tech Teams continue, but everything seems to be fine at present.
Ok thanks, Will give it a bash then.
FYI emailed last night to cc with screenshots of everything... but no reply or refund...yet... i hope they do the right thing.
They are still working out how best to resolve potential refunds, they want to be as fair & reasonable as they can but it's not easy. They are trying to complete it today, but it may well run into tomorrow.
I decided not to contact customer care for a refund. Not because my tables and playing of the tournaments were not affected, they were. Reload messages, bb taken but no sight of the cards to play, frozen out many, many times. The worst was the situation as described by @midnightma but in truth, it is so difficult to quantify how this might have made a difference to me personally that I have decided to move on. To be fair, I didn’t pay vast sums for entry fees, so the financial side of matters is pretty insignificant to me. I play mainly for fun and to try to improve. This is just my decision and not to be taken as a comment on those who play at a much higher level with expectation of success who feel differently about submitting a refund request. When this happened on previous nights, I thought it was my internet, so I am slightly relieved that if Sky have now fixed this I can multi table without worry going forward.
"....so I am slightly relieved that if Sky have now fixed this..."
I'm pleased you included "if". It's fine at the moment, & I hope that's the case going forward, but they are still investigating the cause & what needs to be done to prevent a repetition. Judging by feedback from the Tech Team, I'm confident they are nearly there but I have to stress there is still work to do.
The feedback from everyone, mostly constructive, was really useful & helped the techies zone in on the likely root of the problems.
I'm sure it's been a bit of a stressful Sunday Night and Monday Morning for everyone at 'SKY TOWERS' .... so I'd just like to say how easy it was to deal with the Girls (Lucy and Georgia) in Customer Care today. I was slightly surprised that I was First in the queue .....TWICE! (as I managed to end the chat by mistake halfway through ) . The girls were very friendly, and handled my problem quickly to let me get on with my Day,
Please pass on my sincere Thanks @Tikay10 to everyone working for SKY POKER, and many thanks to yourself and the work you do on this Forum, without which I'm sure there would be a considerable amount of irate customers..... WELL DONE ALL
I was in the same tourney and same table as tomgoodun, I emphasise. He had a good stack and from my view was the best player at the table and perhaps the tournament.
Doubt I would be in the position in the tourney as I am now if Tom was still in it. Would feel like a hollow cash and maybe victory now.
Can only say I love the community here and hope when PS take over some of the spirit would remain.
Cammy
I'd rather we did not get off topic in the midst of these issues, but it's my present understanding that PS won't be "taking over" Sky Poker, Sky Poker will remain a standalone site run by Sky Poker.
This was probably the BEST NEWS that came out of last night
..... and along with the SKY POKER Community and this Forum, is the reason I have never looked to play anywhere else
Was multi-tabling DYMs and sats and cost considerably when you have to fold hands like KK pre-flop.... Tough to say how much was lost but it's been my biggest losing day in months/ever.
If they let us know by text/announcement I would have stopped playing. Only realised it was the site once I realised my other internet applications were working and other players were complaining.
Hope they can refund everyone's rake for the day and provide appropriate compensation for losing players at the very least.
You will need to contact Customer Care if you had problems with DYM's.
They can't just refund everyone - some were affected but will have won their games, others were not affected but lost.
Get hold of Customer Care (in the morning will do, no need to do so right now), explain where you had specific problems - unable to play hands etc - & they can see if that's the case via table logs & issue refunds where appropriate.
Hi Tikay,
Thanks for the advice and I understand they're also in a difficult place because there are winners and losers so no idea how they can compensate people fairly - as they should.
It is extremely difficult to blame particular hands since I was playing on so many tables simultaneously and I'm comfortable with the fact it was a losing day to a certain extent(variance and bad decisions).
However, I've never had a session as bad as the one I had yesterday afternoon (down approx £350 overall for the day).
I've paid about £1000 in rake throughout the month so hopefully they have the capacity to overcompensate as I'm sure they'll make the money back in the long-run.

Eating sausage rolls, drinking lambo whilst watching the horse racing doesn’t constitute ‘ getting on with your day’...👹👿🤪💩

Extended to I think it was Michael B, played for over 10 years and it was the best experience with a support chat (whilst I was probably more fuming than any time ever) that I had experienced.

@darsh11
Understood.
They are still looking at the fairest way to sort everything & I'm quite sure they will try to take everything into account.
