Some folks are more worried than others regarding mask wearing.
If they choose to wear them, let them.
If the truth be known, then everybody would have a mask on all day, unless at home alone, or outside with no close contact with anybody.

Eating with a mask on is a non starter. Unless of course, the meal gets blended in a glass and sucked through a straw via a tiny whole in ones mask, after the bung is carefully removed.

Haysie, why don’t you try to come up with some conclusions yourself?

This government is quite liberal imo, they are reluctant to force anybody to do anything.
But that doesn’t mean there might come a time they force the issue. Think hospital capacity.

Confused, you're not alone! Fewer than HALF of us now know what the lockdown rules actually are, compared with 90% in March

University College London researchers found that only 45 per cent of people in England understand the lockdown rules, compared with 90 per cent understanding the rules in March.

The vulnerable will always be vulnerable.
If folks struggled with’ stay alert’ , just two words, then a list of advice or rule changes will be lost on them, as things open up and close down again.
Maybe reduce the message to one word.

This message from Boris Johnson is being shared again because its aged so unbelievably badly

On 2 January 2020, Johnson announced that "this is going be a fantastic year for Britain".

Boris Johnson isn't exactly famous for his honesty.

The prime minister's fluid relationship with the truth was a point of much contention at the last general election.

But it turns out that his biggest lie of all was actually completely unintentional.

The Sun reports that the education secretary is fighting to hang onto his job.

No 10 is said to be "livid" with Gavin Williamson after he presided over what the paper describes as a "humiliating string of school disasters".

The Sun foresees the end of his cabinet career if next week's GCSE results end up in an "A-levels-style disaster".

The Guardian predicts exactly that - reporting that two million GCSE grades recommended by teachers are set to be downgraded.

Education researchers tell the paper they expect between 35% and 40% of predicted grades to be forced down by the exam regulator.

The Guardian says pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds are set to be hit harder than their A-level counterparts because the proportion taking GCSEs is higher.

Coronavirus: Matt Hancock to scrap Public Health England and set up new organisation for pandemic, reports say

It added that Baroness Dido Harding, the Conservative peer and former TalkTalk telecoms boss who currently runs NHS Test and Trace, was being tipped to lead the organisation, despite criticism over the effectiveness of the UK’s contact tracing system in recent weeks.

A report in The Times on Saturday also said that a merger of the public health body with NHS Test and Trace was under consideration.

The apparent move comes after weeks of criticism of PHE from senior Tories, who have urged Boris Johnson to scrap the organisation.

Sir Iain Duncan Smith, the former Conservative Party leader, said in July he would “abolish PHE tomorrow” if he were prime minister and claimed the agency was guilty of “arrogance laced with incompetence”.

Sir Iain has apparently welcomed the news and said: “The one thing consistent about Public Health England is that almost everything it has touched has failed.”

Eat out scheme causing 'hostility towards staff'

The Tavern Inn says the scheme has "brought us nothing but negativity"

Some restaurants and pubs are withdrawing from the Eat Out to Help Out scheme because of "hostility towards staff".

Owner Kelly Hill said: "It has brought us nothing but negativity due to the huge demand, causing long waits on food, tables over-running and hostility towards our staff.

"People are ordering big, big meals; they are not willing to wait for their food; our staff are being shouted at for having no tables, or for the service being slow. It's put an awful lot of strain on our waiting staff and kitchen staff."

The Heron Inn in Truro has also opted out, saying on Facebook: "Safety is our main priority, and with the increased amount of people visiting us, it is making it difficult for us to manage with social distancing rules in place.

"We have received unpleasant comments and general unwelcome behaviour from customers when they are unable to find a table due to us having reached capacity".

In Crantock near Newquay, the C-Bay bistro says the scheme has led to a loss of business because people are not booking for the days when it is not running.
Owner Nina Eyles said: "In July we were full every day, but now Mondays to Wednesdays are absolutely manic and we are much quieter than normal on the other days.

"If it was in winter we would be so grateful and it would have been amazing."

A-level results: Ofqual 'reviewing' exam appeals guidance

The exams regulator is reviewing its guidance on how to appeal against A-level and GCSE grades using mock exam results - hours after publishing it.

The Conservative chairman of the education select committee, Robert Halfon, said the decision to review appeals guidance only announced on Saturday created a "huge mess" that left students and schools in confusion.

"The latest chaos is the inevitable consequence of this government's shambolic approach to exams, which saw solutions dreamt up on the back of a cigarette packet and announced barely a day before young people received their results."

So I am afraid your initial observation was incorrect, and your thunderous applause wrongly directed.

He has given up in the face of mounting evidence that proves him wrong.

Senior Tory hits out at 'farcical' decision to pull exam appeals policy

The Conservative chair of Westminster’s education committee has branded the decision of the exam regulator to suspend A-Level appeal criteria – just hours after it was published – as “farcical”.

In a brief statement on Saturday evening, Ofqual said the policy was “being reviewed” by its board and that further information would be released in “due course”.

No reason for the decision was immediately available, adding to the sense of chaos surrounding the publication of the A-Level results last week, with uncertainty still facing thousands of students who were downgraded by a contentious algorithm used to calculate results.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, the Tory MP Robert Halfon said: “That is a huge mess. Goodness knows what is going on at Ofqual. It sows confusion among pupils, headteachers, school teachers, and it’s the last thing we need at this time.

Ministers under fire over plans to 'scrap' Public Health England

Ministers have been accused of trying to "divert" attention from their own handling of the coronavirus crisis after reports emerged that Public Health England (PHE) is set to be scrapped.

The pandemic response work of PHE is to be merged with NHS Test and Trace to form a new body designed specifically to deal with pandemics, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock is reportedly set to announce that a new Institute for Health Protection will become "effective" from next month, although the merger will take until next spring to complete.

It comes amid repeated reports ministers have been frustrated with PHE, with Boris Johnson complaining of the country’s "sluggish" response to Covid-19 - a comment widely thought to have been aimed at the organisation.
