She ain't got a clue about anything and just wants her 10 minutes of fame and then **** off, she's just winging it big time but at the expense of the country.
Next Permanent Conservative Party Leader - After Liz Truss.
So. Clearly a 2-horse race.
1 who has experience, ability and is deeply divisive within the Party. And 1 who is better liked, but lacks experience.
My feeling is that this deal has already been done. Sunak as Leader, Mordaunt as his number 2, given the pick of whatever job she wants (other than Chancellor).
Because there is no time to consult the Members.
Last time we had a 2 month electoral process, careful hustings, and an idiot elected. This time-1 week, and everything done outside the Tories own electoral process. Because they will fix it so that, officially at least, there is only 1 man (or woman) who wants to lead the Country.
It's just shabby, and reeks of self-interest. The Party could at least pretend it cares about the electorate. We urgently need to change the Rules to protect Democracy.
And the Right's standard-bearers will be sidelined. Which means they will be considering forming their own Party.
Column inches from Australia to America, Ireland to India, and across mainland Europe have been filled with mockery for both 'hopeless and hapless' Liz Truss and a Tory party they said has been doomed 'by its own idiocy'. But the tone was far from cheerful. Many seemed deeply shocked that the British parliament, a 'temple of democracy and the oldest traditions', has been reduced to a 'circus' that one said risked turning the venerable UK into a 'Banana Republic'. After Truss announced her resignation to the British public today after just 44 days in power, the world's media observed that 'political chaos continues in the UK'. One German TV reporter even swore in her live report (left), speaking in English when quoting reports that Craig Whittaker, the Deputy Chief Whip, said he was 'f***ing furious and I don't give a f*** anymore' after a chaotic vote on fracking.
At the last election, both major Parties made a very clear manifesto promise. The Tories promised to maintain the triple lock. Labour promised to maintain the triple lock. Pensioners nearly always vote in large numbers for the Conservatives.
But it turns out that 1 of the Parties was lying. And, purely in its own self-interest, is refusing to allow a General Election.

Hopefully now the Tories fall into League 1 of politics and spend the next 30 years reliving old glories and past history.
And our next contestant on who wants to be a Premier is.........??
I'm a fighter, not a quitter....
