Is Gareth performing a tactical master class by playing the B team to top the group, bringing a few subs on from the A team to warm them up for the knockout stages? 😏

The last 16 looks like a betting opportunity.

England have been poor so far. But are still the favourites-simply because the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th favourites are all in the other half of the Draw.

The value seems to be in relation to other teams in England's half of the Draw. Because either England or an outsider will reach the Final.

    Netherlands 12/1
    Italy and Austria 16/1
    Switzerland 33/1
    Turkey 80/1

As an example, 1 of Austria and Turkey will make the Quarter-Finals. As will 1 of Switzerland and Italy.

Not saying any of those 4 will win it. Just that their chances of doing so are better than those odds

I know the bookies are rarely wrong but I just can't see where they're getting these odds and predictions from. How on earth can England be favourites, ok they may be in the so called 'weaker' side of the draw, but **** me they had an easy group and struggled. Also in our 'easy' side of the draw are Italy,Holland,Turkey & Austria etc. Then IF they do manage to make it to the final look at the teams they're likely to face. I think 10/1 would just about be value but hey the bookies know best.

Well do not see England doing well despite what the bookies say.

If England get past Slovakia which is more likely then not, although I can definitely see England losing to Slovakia, then they will face the winner of Switzerland Italy.

shock results can happen and England may get lucky to get Switzerland though most likely I think they get Italy.

I do not see England beating Italy.
If Somehow England do get past the quatres by either a struggle against Switzeland or a fluke against Italy they will then face either Romania, Turkey, Austria or Holland. Most likely Holland but again we cant be sure.

I do not see England getting past Italy and then past Holland if they do then fair England actually looking like what the odds say but this lacklustre performance so far leaves little confidence in that.

By the looks of it England have the easier side of the draw but Holland and Italy are still strong sides that I do not see England getting past either.

I can see if England somehow do lift the trophy at the end, then the celebrations in the UK will likely be orders of magnitude greater then v day on any of the world wars.

there will be parades in the streets for months and people will celebrate as if they had achieved something which they had absolutely nothing to do with.
