Thank you so much for working 15 hours straight, finishing at gone 04:00 in the morning. For our entertainment.
I have had the good fortune to read this until about Midnight, and then have a night's sleep before catching up now. Something that I expect is true for most of us.
There is a part of me that thinks that you should not be working those 15 hours straight. That others could be covering (say) the first 4 hours. Or giving you a cut-off time, to ensure you do not overdo things.
There is another part of me that just says thank you very much.
Well done to the Winner. And to the Runner-up. Good game.

I now rather wish I'd not mentioned the time but tbh I was getting a little tired & when I'm tired I get a bit moany & tetchy.
For the record, Sky Poker don't ask or instruct me to do the Live Updates, nor do they suggest I work any particular hours, they leave me completely to my own devices. I do have a Contract but I've no idea what it says & I doubt my Boss (James) does either. He leaves me completely alone & trusts me to work as & when best, & to use my common sense as to hours etc. I can't actually recall being given any instruction by James or his predecessors for over a decade. I very much enjoy what I do, I mostly get to work the hours I choose & they pay me well, & punctually. I do bridle badly at un-necessary rudeness towards either the Business or myself, but it's exceedingly rare. I've pretty much got the best job in the world & I love it to bits, so the occasional long day at an SPT is fine. Especially when it's in, say, Glasgow, Brighton, or even Las Vegas...
Well that was a heads up, luckily all going on whilst I was asleep. Thanks for the updates @Tikay10, it good reading them through with a cuppa.
With respect to Premium Bonds they are an excellent home for cash savings, current return is 4.4% tax free, obviously most win slightly less than that (I'm averaging about 3.5%), because you have to make allowance for the big winners. If you're a higher rate taxpayer with no ISA allowance or savings allowance left (the amount you can earn tax free on cash savings), then, if you win at 4.4% they're equivalent to about 7.3% taxable, which is amazing for a no risk investment.
p.s. There is a downside, it's every month when you check and find you haven't won a big prize. I'm obviously a glass half empty kind of guy.
Thanks @Enut that's most useful, & I'd never got round to working out what the theoretical interest rate is. It sure beats leaving it in a Current Account & getting zero % interest.

What is the max holding these days, £25,000?
£50,000, anything you pay in must be in for a full month before it's in the draw, so pay in just before the end of the month, then it's just over a month before you qualify, rather than paying in now for example, when you'd have nearly 2 months to wait. The reverse for withdrawals, always take out just after a draw if you need to.
Thanks for all the updates @Tikay10 , was brilliant to be able to follow. Not sure what Sky would do without you. Was hoping to stay up to see the conclusion but succumbed to tiredness at around 1am, probably just as well in the end!
I've been thinking for some time I maybe ought to buy a bunch of them, there's almost zero downside & you get a little buzz on Draw Days.
You had any wins?
I was advised to buy Premium bonds when i inherited money a couple of years ago and most months i have won £100- £250, but nothing more than £100 from a single number. You can buy them online at £25 each and cash them in anytime you wish. Max is £50K .

So Mark is back from the brink yet again, & on we go.
We have just broken the record for the latest ever finish for an SPT.
We had an 03.50 at Brighton a few years ago, but it's now 03.58.
Think we've been Heads Up over 4 hours now.
This is not real.
I've been railing this thing for 14 hours straight, then I go for a leak & when I come back it's all over.
I missed the hand but it was apparently A-K v K-J & the A-K held.
And the winner?
@chrisdonkb
9th place - GK £1,900
8th place - Christian Watt £2,400
7th place - Chris Riggens £3,060
6th place - Tim Foster £3,800
5th place - Alex Tong £4,550
4th place - Callum Reid £5,725
3rd place - Alan Chrzaszcz (sp) £7,150
2nd place - Mark Macpherson £9,800
WINNER - Chris Whittaker £14,000
And so two records are broken;
1) Latest ever finish (04.02)
2) First player to win two "proper" SPT's.
And on that note, I'm going to bid you all good-night, or maybe good morning. My lunch/dinner/supper awaits & so does my bed.
Night all.
What a guy @chrisdonkb
