ur gonna fail so hard, spewing at higher stakes and MTTs...just stick to 4 tabling 20nl and u make a silly profit. wait until you actually have a half decent roll before shorting on higher tables if u have to!

    I cant believeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it.

8 hours worth recorded on sky +, an hour into it, and we're 75 without loss.

    Then you write that.

No point watching it now is there I'll just be waiting for the next wicket to drop !!!!!!

Hope I don't run this bad all day.

     Session
     Won £147.46

    WOW!!!!!

What a session. Played  3 tables at nl20 for approx 3 hours and ended up with the above result. Seemed to hit everything possible and came across a couple of really big fish e.g. one pot I was all in with Q,Q, against his 8,3 for a pot of over £40. Have to say got a bit over confident for a while and probably cost myself another £25 profit.
I have come to the conclusion, perhaps belatedly, and yes N1ck and Lynxeffect you are right, that this is the game I have to concentrate all my efforts on as I am good enough to make a steady profit at this level. So I will not be taking any more shots at the higher levels even if the suits at Sky dangle a carrot at me, and I will not enter any more MTT's until at least the end of Dec and then see where I am at.
If only every session was like this but I realise this is the upside of variance and that I must be prepared to take the rough with the smooth.

     Bankroll £351.69
     Profit £141.69
     Cash Profit £217.56
     MTT Profit -£75.87

No its not easy mate but once i got it up to $80 i should be able to do it, i got past the playing shortstack on nl$2 without blowing up due to the bordom of it and am now playing 1 table of $6 hu sngs alongside my normal 6max game, the $5 now stands at $230 and il be moving up to $11 hu sng probably tomorrow so it should start to grow quicker now

here is graph for the 8 days been doing the hu sngs

     Session
     Won £31.08

Another successful session where I played pretty solid poker. Could have been more profitable if I can with my gut feeling in the hand below. Knew Porko was capable of his play and had a real strong feeling I had him beat but took too long to contemplate and timed out. Should have gone with my instinct, know for next time.

     Session
     Won £29.84

Appear to be on a roll, long may it last. Played one really stupid hand early in the session and was then fighting to breakeven for a while. Have a tendancy to get involved in a stupid hand early in session and lose a buy on, this seems to happen a lot and it is always with stupid hands where I have no hope of winning. Don't know why I do it but need to stop it. See hand below, feel free to criticise but I know it makes no sense at all as the hand winner commented - Money laundering?

     Session
     Lost £20.39

One of those sessions where didn't really hit any cards and when I did was unable to get any action. Got a little frustrated and played a bit too loose chasing a couple of draws and getting outdrawn on the river a couple of times. Need to re-focus tomorrow and push on towards that magical £600 mark so I can step up to nl30. The aim is to be at nl30 by the beginning of the new year, tough ask but possible I believe as I am currently up £260 in cash play in 20 days and need to win £200 in 10 days. Going to really focus hard on getting to £600 by Close of Play on Dec 31st.

Played OK, apart from hand below. Should never have bet the river as only getting called if beaten. Even put villain on probably AK but still bet, WHY? Don't know but a little voice kept saying bet, bet, bet. So I did, idiot.

     Session
     Lost £34.08

One of those sessions where variance takes revenge. Played really well but had 5 occassions where got it in good only to get outdrawn. I am not one to moan about bad beats, as I get the variance thing and also know that bad beats can work for you as well as against you, but having said that a particularly cruel session in which, as I have already said, I played really well. Could now display 5 hands where I got outdrawn but won't bother. Instead I will show a hand I thought I played really well. Smelt the weakness and took advantage, love it when I do this, as I believe this to be true poker where you play the palyer and the situation not the cards.

Pretty good session, and would have been better apart from hand below. I am now taking a couple of days off and will be back Boxing Day probably. Got last night of work tonight and will then be partaking in the Christmas festivities for the next couple of days, so HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all the readers and contributors to the thread, have a good one and in the words of Arnie 'I will be back'

I notice you haven't posted on here for a while.  Perhaps you are having a break.  I think you are being a bit hard on yourself when you say you have played some of the hands shown badly.  They don't seem to bad to me, you were just unlucky.  I have just had a session (just 45 mins) on 4 tables and lost 3 buy ins, and I don't think I played badly.  Lost with top pair, Ace kicker to 2 pairs on river, lost with 2 pairs to flush on river, well ahead in both.  But the worst was when I was sat with K J (both diamonds) on the button, flop came down 2 A 7 (all diamonds) so I had nut flush.  Guy on BB went all in with £20+, couldn't believe my good luck, instant call.  He had pocket Queens.  The turn card was a 2 and the river was a Queen, so he hit full house.  I just have to take it on the chin.  Fortunately I have been running well recently so just put it down to variance.  Start the New Year with new bankroll and maybe go down a level.  Anyway good luck with your quest to go up the levels.  I will keep in touch with your thread.
