Bad night, entered £22 open at 8pm and again fell short of cashing finishing 46th. Really do believe I have the game for these MTT's but not getting results to prove it. Lost £28 on cash tables, lesson to be learnt, don't try watching football whilst playing 1 MTT and 2 cash tables, I am not good enough. As my 3 tips (X,Y and X) says under Y. Y is for yesterday, today could be the day. See you tomorrow.
Entered £1.5k BH at 9.30pm and finished 43rd and took out 1 opponent for net loss of £7.25. Won £20 playing on one cash table at same time. Thank god for cash.
One of those sessions where you just play your A game and the cards keep coming. If only everyday was like this. It's funny how sometimes you are just in the zone and then other days you are not. Did nothing different today than yesterday when I won 9p in 3 hours but somehow it just felt different. Its a strange world.

Thats poker. Some day you cant lose :-), and some you cant win :-(
My 2nd best day since I started this thread with a total win of £177.85, just behind my best day of £178.53 on Dec17th. Also now puts my BR at its highest position since thread started. One alteration I have made recently, and think it is having a positive effect, is to up my standard open raise from 90p to £1.20, playing nl30. Seems to eliminate more of the rubbish hands that might come along for the ride and then hit on the flop and turn, also makes it easier to define the hands you are up against making my flop, turn and river play easier. Also means that when you bet out and take down the pot on the flop you are winning more money. Will continue with this. Just to let anyone know that maybe playing against me in the future this is my standard raise and it may be a premium hand, a speculative hand or the fact I think I can beat you on later streets even though I have rubbish. Don't want to give any of you an advantage. lol.
i played for 3hrs (1 table mind!!) last night, think it was a timid table mind to start with which was good, then 2 new players arrived and started to mix it up a bit. made 2 horrible mistakes which cost me much bigger pots, both times had the nuts, one i let him off way to cheaply and the other i was watching benidorm and missed an oppertunity to put him to the sword again. came off 76 quid up and a lot more confidence than i did going into the experiment. just got to get rolled for it now!!
Young Gun I know it looks like I should give up on the MTT's but I do think I have the game to beat them. I think the only thing I struggle with is the faster structure on Sky and the lack of antes. If you look on Sharkscope I show a profit of £110 after 46 games, the winning ones were before I started this thread, but it does show I am capable. I also am only a recreational player and do enjoy playing the MTT's now and again, looking for the big one. I am pretty sure I am not far off the big one, or is it wishful thinking.
Pod tell me how hard it was at nl100, you are tempting me, lol. What level is your normal one.
my main thought is because u seem do do really well on cash and not so on MTT's
I know what you mean tho i play MTT mainly cash rarely but still last night ended up £50 + nl10 yesterday which was fun, who knows with MTT i know the feeling go ages playing perfect and outdrawn then a few come round the corner

Ha Ha Ha lol, £50 profit, why was that then? That guy was on a mission
trebor, or is it robert - You're not showing an mtt profit. With mtt's small cashes pay for your entry fees into more mtt's. You only hit a big one occasionally and that's just how mtt's are. That big one then funds lots of entires and so it goes on. Cash is steadier and can, indeed should, be profitable every week. Mixing it up is fine as long as you play to your level and try a step up when your bankroll permits.
Cash is good but there's nothing like taking down a good sized mtt. I would say carry on as you are. For a recreational player what you are doing is just fine. If you want to make a living at poker concentrate on cash.

this... I get so close to the money then get involved in a standard flip usually something like 1010 v AJ or JJ v A K get outdrawn then go downhill from there and cant connect 2 hands to anything then end up busting after playing for ages even after believing i played perfect for the whole duration no bad calls or folds, but it always seems to be that one flip that ruins you
hi mate, nl30 norm now, but if i play 3/4 tables i drop to nl20. was grinding yest on 4 nl20 and just decided to close them down and play 1 nl100 (sober i might add) i was `a £100 up on the day anyway so i just saw it as free money or "an investment for the future " lol. no disrespect to 4 of the 5 other players it wasnt anything to worry about (1 player stood out mind). it was only 1 table for 3hrs so cant comment really, but it wasnt "oh my god stuff"
Played pretty poorly and below is my biggest losing hand. How did I play it? I always convince myself that this is the correct play over time but realise sometimes I will get it wrong. Is this the right thought process.
