    Hi Pat.

My expectations really aren't that high. I did the big volume goals last weekend but aside from that I rarely play more than 2 hours a day, and not every day either.

This week I've played 5 hours total.

I'm not sure wether you're from the top or bottom part of Ireland, but either way congratulations are in order.

Excellent achievement by the Northerners with the resources they have.

Congratulations also to Wales, Commiserations to Scotland, and Lol @ Don.

Im from Dublin so we have a masive day of sport ahead.

France in the rugby followed by Poland in the football.
Both should be great games and hoping for a couple of good results.
Playing live last year ( think it was an APAT event ) and after a couple of hands noticed the dealer and players either side of her were looking at me and whispering while looking at one of their phones. This went on until I played a hand and actually spoke and at this point I heard in unison ah its not him. According to them I am a doppelganger for a Polish player ,they were quite disapppointed they hadn't got a star on their table. Hope we catch him on an off day today.

Yeah our neighbours up the road have been on a great run and am happy they have quailifed.

Least we're decent at egg chasing. lol :)

On a note that team sheet never filled me with confidence. I wont denie Strachan has done us alot of good, but his team selection of late IMO is very poor. We played 3 right backs the other night, Over natural centre backs and natural left backs the latter is a position which is probably our strongest in depth with some quality left backs playing in Scotland & England of Scottish nationality.

The midfield wasn't a choice I'd have made, James Forrest for example should be nowhere near the Scotland team over other optoions, including others at the club he plays for. I also slammed both players who scored pre kick off much to the laugh of uncle willie and yourself. Don't think one has performed yet at international level, while the other has 3/4 options id place ahead (Rhodes, Griffiths etc) who are foing a solid job for their club week in week out, while the one selected (Steven Fletcher) barely scores for his club.

    haha great story.

Bet you were relieved when you found out it was something as trivial as a lookalike !

    I'd have been kakking myself.

First half of job done by the egg chasers, just tuning in to watch the footy.

I HATE the way qualifiers are structured.

But this is the rare occasion where the format creates excitement.

The very definition of a massive game.

Nervous for your lot! Mon the Irish. :)

    Question for you Donald.

    This isn't preempted .....

If you had to pick a starting 11, 6 subs, and a manager, to represent the 5 home nations, who would you pick?

No restrictions on the number of representatives from each country. Manager for the sake of this question has to be British or Irish.

    Ok gg togger chat.

    More from Donald later :)

    ---

    I've just completed day 1 of 30 living as a veg-barbarian.

    Its easyyyyy :)

Woke up late and whilst having a morning coffee I was sat watching Paul Hollywood bake a venison, partridge and rabbit pie on UKTV food.

I didn't even realise it was veggie day until my Mum laughed at me.

    Doh.

    I tried Quorn sausages.

    Not impressed at first.

Add red sauce and they're alright.

Stick it between a breadbun with a fried egg and onions and you might be on to summat.

Other meals were pretty standard things that I'd eat normally anyway.

I guess it will start to get testing in around a week or so?

    Bring it on! :D

    -----

Played a wii bit of poker.

    Only around 800 hands overall.

    +$15 on party (off roll)

    Break even on 888.

I'll take that, it was slow/boring and unspectacular but that's just what I needed after recent blows.

    ----

Off out for a game of snooker this week, going to have a few pints.

I don't know what the rules are for recovering alcoholics.

    I don't even know If I am/ever was 1.

    Maybe it's a bad idea.

I fully trust myself to be responsible with it.

But maybe everyone who has ever been in this spot and 'blown up' felt like they could manage a few responsibly too.

    Time'll tell.

    -----

    Cricket back tomorrow :)

Feels like it's been away ages.

England going into a series in Asia under-cooked.

Where have I seen that before.

125 all out with 5 batsmen giving their wickets away on the sweep anyone?

No rules Mr JJ, just suggestions on helping, sincerely hope you don't find that one is too many and 15 is not enough ( pints )

Hope the change in diet benefits you, good luck with that my good man, still think you should go docs again and badger em.

Sorry for brief post, I have to go to work soon.

I think you need to be honest with yourself as to whether you were/are an alcoholic before "having a few pints". It sounded to me like you were - you couldn't function at all without it and you weren't functioning that well with it.

I am not an expert - and I don't know you - I know you have turned a lot of things around in your life and that you previously tried one pint and left it that. But committing to having a few beers in a social environment where it is the norm, with your history, is definitely setting alarm bells ringing.

Sorry if that comes across a bit pious or owt, like others we all have your wellbeing at heart.

Yo JJ....enjoy ya snooker, it will be good for you to get out and socialise after your last few weeks.

Re. drinks - No expert, but you seem to know what will be right or wrong for you in this situation. If it is just a couple of pints, just have lager/bitter shandies and have a limit to 2/3. You might even knock in a couple of centuries and not have time to drink! ;)

you have got the attention of the medics
give them a chance to work out what's wrong, and keep hounding them until they do

and don't mess things up in the meantime

    NO to alcohol
    NO to faddish diets

they will both change the chemical balance in your system and could make finding a solution to your tiredness problem more difficult.
