Pretty epic fail tonight but with a bit of luck managed to finish just in the black which has to be taken as a good night for MTTs when most nights you're gonna lose.

First of all, I was generously given free entry to the £33 BH tonight for running the spin up challenge so that was a freeroll which resulted in a pretty early bustout with 0 heads.

While late reg was going on I saw how much overlay was going on in the all in sats, so I played a total of 15 x £1.80 of them (all of them I think from the point of me seeing them). vvv good value, all of them guaranteed at least 2 seats, some guaranteed 3 or 4 and all of them were getting a max of about 20 runners. I won 2 seats, and stone bubbled 2 more for a total profit of £39 on them.

The mini was also a complete fail,  bust quite early, no heads.

Went fairly deep in the £400 BH (£11) but all went downhill heading towards the bubble and bust 17th, no cash but £3.75 of heads.

£2000 BH (£11) was very uneventful, just grinding along for a while with nothing much going on. Bust 130/268 with no heads.

£1000 BH (£11) This went a bit better but was another near miss really. Top 13 got paid and I bust 9th jamming TT into A9o and losing. Even more annoying, I helped someone with 1xBB ladder lol but I'm not passing up that spot with TT when I have like 10xBB. Cashed for £32.42

Played a £5.30 UKOPS 1 Sat into the £24 Semi, just for the money really cos I saw it was kicking off with 2 runners. So I was the 3rd runner and wanted to get the game over ASAP before late reggers joined, so shipped over a raise first hand with K6o and beat AT. So we're HU now and I've got a 2:1 chip lead, next hand I get 33, ship and lose against 89o, then 1 more joins, and another ... until 6 people had regged altogether, so had to play it 'properly' and bust out in 5th place, think it was JJ<AQ

    £200 GTD (£5.50) - complete fail, can't remember a single hand but I didn't last long.

£250 GTD (£2rebuy) - double rebuy during first hand cos annoyingly you cant do it before the 1st hand on Sky. Then 2nd hand of the comp, I flop bottom set on a mono QTx flop and get it in against someone with just KJo, no FD and he gets there. So straight back to exactly 2000 chips, pretty happy I didn't have like 2020 chips cos I can rebuy again lol. Things went pretty well from this point, got to the add-on so was in for £8.80 total and did very little for a long time and found myself 18/27 by doing practically nothing after the add on lol. Started to aggro it up a bit as blinds were getting big and was going well but finished in 15th with 13 paid by jamming AK into JJ and not getting there.

All in all, about +£5 thanks to the all in sats :)

@Dumb - things took a sour turn a while ago and roll is now down to just over £1k but that's still well enough to play most MTTs on here (which is what I'm doing atm). Things going pretty well overall since I've been playing MTTs.

I haven't given up on cash, it's still where the money is, and I'm still easily a winning player but at the time it was damaging my profits and more importantly, my confidence. Obv when I go back I could run just as bad as before but my head will be fresh/not tilted so I'll be playing better.

Planning to carry on grinding just MTTs til the end of the year, then in the new year the plan is to go back to cash and just play the ME, mini (on the my the nights with my favourite MEs), the £55 BH @ 9pm (if I sat in) and maybe the odd £11 BH

Have Sky censored your alias lol.... I'm sure you used to be called Dumbmofo?

    =====================================================================

Aint updated for a few days which just like Dohhhhh can only mean one thing lol, rubbish results and laziness.

My updates were getting far too long (and probably far too boring) so gonna just stick to talking about my deep runs... in which case, Friday and Saturday didn't exist as far as this diary is concerned ;) lol... but seriously...

Friday - fails all round, suppose it was due after some decent results recently but just lost every single race including lots of AQ v A5 type races. It was partially saved by the fact that I won 1 ME seat from 6 attempts (I was already in and playing but they had loads of overlay)... that meant it was only a -£40 night on MTTs. They pretty much all ended early so with no more good MTTs to reg up I played some HU SnGs, ran pretty terribly, not surprising really after how I was racing in MTTs and finished about -£40 there. Think this was the night I carried on my cash spin up thing too where I was up to £10 @ 20NL... started the hand with abotu £13, got it in on the turn with JT on T8xJ against QJ to get to £25 and move to next level, but river was the Q ball lol. So not a good night.

Saturday - Runbad continued into Saturday, played 4 Primo sats (2 x £6 directs and 2 x £12 directs) and had nothing to show for them. Had another deep run in the mini but again a near miss and a cash of only £20 for coming 30/570. And a deep run in an £11 BH where I lost QQ v 22 aipf with like 8 left to leave me with 1xBB lol. Needless to say, I came 8th for £26. Very frustrating as a win there is another bounty, a massive stack, virtually guaranteed FT blah blah. The ME was going ok but got well and truly IrishRose'd lol (I'm sure she won't mind the mention). She jammed her last 3xBB with 44 into my QQ for me to get my first bounty, I lost. Then about 10 mins later back at 3xBB she jammed A5 into my 77 for me to get my first bounty, I lost. So now she had 6xBB and I jammed AJ into her for my first bounty.... she had JJ lol. So after losing about 12xBB in them encounters, things weren't looking too good and I can't remember how but I bust 225/611 and did eventually get my first (and only) bounty lol for £11.25

Sunday - Last night was a bit better but profits were ruined by complete fails in the all in sats. Played 15 all in sats cos of ridic overlay, they were 1in25s but towards the end of the night were running as like 1in5s with 4 seats GTD and only about 20 runners per game, still somehow managed to not win 1 seat. I don't regret playing them at all, you'd be silly not to with that kind of overlay, just need to run a bit better :)

Other than that, got a mincash in an £11 BH coming 11/81 for £17.50 and cashed in the Primo 53/569 for £126. Very frustrating result though, was doing so well, sat about 12th out of 74 on the stone bubble (73 paid), then some of you may have seen it on 861, I opened J8s, flopped a FD and barrelled 3 streets (I missed my flush) expecting him to fold tons cos it was the stone bubble but he called me down and took a big pot, really annoying cos I think I get him off most TPs but he had the 2nd best kicker so which is probably abuot the weakest hand I can see him calling with. Still wasn't in danger on the bubble (someone next to me had 1 SB) but had blown a decent chunk of my stack, got a few steals through but eventually jammed 66 into Jakally's TT in the BB and that was gg.

So that's the end of my 'package', dunno if I mentioned it but I sold 50% of my MEs for this double guarantee week. We ended up pretty much dead on break even so could be worse, but could do better. Had deep runs in the Primo and the Rebuy but neither one managed to turn into a decent cash.

I saw that J8s hand I went out in a similar fashion in the £22 deepstack by flopping a FD on an A high board! Also, yes it was the bubble but you should have utilised that more by forcing him to play for his tournament life. I don't know if a shove would have got through but it would at least have made it a lot more difficult call. I think in that hand I make the decision OTT whether to just give up and c/f (hope for free river) or decide to bet/shove. I probably lean towards c/f.

Agree with Ivan...if I'm betting that turn then it's to go the whole hog and put him in on the river. Give him a really tough decision!

Fold pre wouldn't have been bad either ;)

Good deep run in a big field though so wp sir.

Yeah I think you guys are right, c/f turn is probably the best option, but if I wanna go for max pressure and shove river, I think I need to go a bit bigger on the turn.

Finally had a night off on Monday, I'd been playing 7 nights straight because I sold the package to play all 7 MEs, so that was nice to get away for a bit. After all I've heard about it, I finally watched the first episode of Breaking Bad (NO SPOILERS PLZ) on my night off and was hooked within like 30 mins, really looking forward to watching the rest of it.

Got another 2 episodes of Breaking Bad in tonight too.

    ===================================================

Tonight was another night of pretty sick near misses. I was doing vvvvv well in 3 tournies so will just discuss them.

Priority Main FR - I had no idea about it until today but JJ mentioned it and then DTM confirmed that there is a £1k jackpot for winning the Prio Main and Mini in the same month and as some of you will know, I won the Prio Mini last week for £370. Things were going swimmingly in the main and was about 4/20 as things were getting a bit deeper (53 started). I got it in pre 55 v 99, flopped the 5 and was like 'wow, is this my night?!' but the 9 river put a stop to my mini heater lol. It didn't damage my stack too much though and I ploughed on until there were 7 left (6 paid) and stacks were mostly pretty short, and in short, someone opened, I jammed 12xBB with JJ and got looked up by KK... was shouting for the Jack but it was not to be and I stone bubbled :(

Min cash (6th) = £140 up to £440 for 2nd, and if I'd won it, with my jackpot included I'd have got £1.8k! :( Sick time to get coolered and get £0.

£2k BH (£11) - Was doing vvv well in this, it started with 276 and I was about 9th with 80 left then I lost quite a big pot... I opened QJcc, villian decided to just flat AA. Flop is QJx turn is the A and I double him up. Still had an ok stack but then got it in AK v AT for him to flop the T and leave me with 10xBB. I grinded it for a bit longer and ended up busting 54th for £12.65

£55 BH - Again this went well up to a point. Got off a good start and took my first bounty fairly early, then made a really stupid mistake. I thought the pot was unopened so went to minraise 9Ts but someone had already opened so what I actually did was click 3bet lol. He calls and we go to the flop HU, turns out he was really short and flop is 349ss so that's me committed and I'm like wiiiiii I've managed to make a mistake that's gonna result in stacking him and a 2nd bounty lol... he had TT. Thankfully it was a small dent and I went on to build my stack going into the late stages. I lost apot that wasn't massive but a decent size and blinds increased and before I knew it, I was fairly short. Then I just went completely card and spot dead. Nothing more frustrating because I wasn't trying to mincash, I wanted to try to build a stack but that doesn't mean I'm just gonna stupidly gamble so I just had to be pretty patient and fold lots and pick up the occasional set of blinds with a steal. It got 100 runners which I'm sure is more than normal and I ended up busting in 11th for a total of £103.44 by jamming J9 into A4 BvB, I flopped the J but they flopped a FD, got a safe turn card but river brought the flush :(

Sigh, I'll go the extra mile one day soon...

Just to let you know you you don't have to win the mini and the main priority freerolls in the same month.  You have won the mini so when you win the main anytime in the future you will get the extra £1k.

Nice one DTM... why is this mentioned no-where? How did you find out about it cos I've been Prio for like 4 months and had no idea. So I'll get £2k (as per Shawsok) if I win the Prio Main anytime in the future as long as someone doesn't do a double before me? That's pretty sweet!

Didn't play at all on Wednesday.

Tonight was another good night, although still missing the final push at the end to make it a reallly good night.

First 2 games of the night were sats. I got into the £55 BH for £12 and stone bubbled the seats (there was no left over cash) in a £7.20 ME Semi.

I FT'd the first £11 BH of the night and somehow managed to finish 3rd without taking a single bounty all game so cashed for £44.25

The 8:15pm and 9:30pm £11 BHs, I had deep ish runs but finished both a little off the money, 35/129 and 61/261 with combined heads of £7.50

Another deep run in the mini but again lost a race near the end so couldn't convert it to a decent score, finished 36/581 for £17.16

Then the £55 BH, went very well from start to finish really (minus about 15-20 mins at the end). The FT bubble lasted an absolute lifetime, in fact I think it lasted longer than the entire FT took to play out. Not even like it was a big payjump to the FT, was only like an extra £25, guess it's just the way the cards fell. I was on the 3handed table and was doing pretty well but lost one big pot and with the FT bubble lasting like 3-4 levels at least, stacks were getting shallow. I eventually made the FT but with only about 10xBB and just didn't get any hands or spots to shove. Waited an orbit or two and eventually called off Madeye's shove SB into my BB with K8s which given stack sizes and the fact he's a good aggro player is standard. He had KQ and that was gg, finished in 6th for £226.60

So definitely can't complain, was like a +£240 day... just still waiting for the day where my luck holds a bit better in the late stages and I can get a big score.

    Hey Lambert

Just caught up with your diary... Surprised how the cash has been going for you, your posts in the clinic re: strat etc seem to be pretty solid. Probably just a harsh downswing from the sounds of things. Interested to see how you get on with the switch to MTT's. I play like 99% cash atm but aiming to play way more MTT's in 2014. Previously steered clear of them up until now as the variance is insane in them lol. (Oh yeh and I suck at them!).

Seems that a decent bink is round the corner for you... maybe Xmas Ukops? ;)

Anyways enjoying the diary and gl at the tables.
