Just placed my 1st bet after looking at prices for the top scorer.
i was looking for Van Persie but with the way he,s finished the season equalling (and should have bt it, after being fowled for a tap in on Saturday) Henrys record its no suprise he,s up there and 2nd favourite for a team not considered in the top 2 but he,s quite thin value at 10/ imo , so i plumped for an outsider as ive backed him over the season at Man City although his temperment has let him down but he,ll wanting to impress with new clubs looking at him and I think Italy may suprise and certainly wont be a pushover although i can,t se them winning it. A play off place would be nice for 3rd and 3th tho as all goals count toward it

EDIT : Just found out don,t think he,s even in the squad, although with possible injurys and things i,ll have to leave it on anyway but one Italian who has a good record for the national team is this fellow
Croatia will have to get past Italy and Ireland just to get through and traditionally in most big tourneys the winner comes from the top 4 teams, due to numbers of matches. I,ve meant to back him before at Everton and regretted it after missing out but i think players playing for there clubs and country can be so different as they fit in differently to a new team
flights booked to watch the boys in green in action, out on the 7th and home on the 16th, will get in the croatia and spain games, will be having a tickle on us @ 10's to topple the spanish, sure why not, theres always a big shock in these tournies along the line
top scorer bets at mo are difficut to decipher, but id be focusing on a Russian i could see them scoring a hatful in their group. Roman Pav is the obvious one but im a fan of the big boy just signed in Jan for Fulham and will be having a few shillings on him
as for outright winners, it can only be the germans. a solid solid bet. france dark horses
He was the winner of the Golden Boot at UEFA Euro 2004, where he scored five goals (Milan Baros)
Milošević was crowned UEFA Euro 2000's joint-top scorer with Patrick Kluivert, at five, having played one match less than the Dutch.
That 1st group looks the easiest and i remember from backing Ronaldo and Rivaldo in the World Cup once where Klose scored 4 or 5 in 1 group game. Thats how open this market can be. Luckily he hardly scored again

my advice would be forget any antepost until 1 or 2 days before no prces are gonna shorten that much beetween now and then, the time would be better spent listing all the sights offering free bets and new account bonuses these major tourniment are when the bookies are desparate to get our custom with a bit of time spent doing this you can pretty much bet for free, non of the bookies check whose oppening accounts so if you have a joint bank account open a boookies account in each name get all the free stuff and then close them
As for Jelevic Croatia could surprise in their group and he is certainly on form

I put a £25 bet on something the day just so i could get a free 25 bet when euros start. Can,t remember which site it was now
As already pointed out the odds are not going to change to much now - Not exactly sure when the final squads are formally anounced but i couldn,t see a price for Crouch (top scorer) on the exchanges yesterday although he is 100/1 general. Without Rooney for 1st 2 games - will he get a chance ?
Anyone know what Hodgson thinks of him?
Having watched Jelavic for 2 seasons now being a rangers fan i may put a punt on him. All depends on if the Croatian side can play well in his group, and Jelavic becomes an extremely poor player if the service isnt devlivered.
For a winner outsider i heard Portugaul are 18/1 not confirmed but tempting.
Will have a look at some prices and put up my opinions
Top Scorer recommendations
Fernando Llorrente 14/1
Antonio Di Natale 25/1
Zaltan Ibrahimovic 33/1
Nikita Jelavic 40/1
Tried to avoid the favs, if these players sides perform potential for loads of goals
Outright winner
Portugaul 20/1
Croatia 40/1
Again stuck to outsiders for value and rekon this is the best value against chances.
