Yeah Pat the free software similar to Excel is called OpenOffice, I do have it but it's really wierd the way some things on it work and it's just not hard as good as Excel.
Yeah I'll definitely be showing my face at the SPT. We can't get a babysitter for the Saturday night so I can't play the main, but I'll be there on Friday playing the side event (and maybe some cash) and I'll be there for Saturday afternoon.

After a bit of a shaky start to the month, the bankroll is starting to advance in the right direction. I'm happy with my DYM results so far this month. By tonight, I'll have reached 2000 poker points, well on track for Priority. However, in Poker, I've always held a firm belief of quality over quantity. My learning capacity playing 12-14 DYM tables is next to nothing. You learn to play on auto-pilot, and ultimately don't think about the different ways you can play the hand VS different opponents. Why should you, it's just a SNG. No actually it's worse, it's a DYM.
I've always been a SNG player. Yes, you are so often limited to <15bb stack sizes and faced with either folding or shoving, but at the end of the day, it's what's worked for me. I never held the self-discipline, bankroll or focus to play the cash games I wanted to. Last month that all changed. I played a few thousand hands of £50nl and it was nothing short of a breakthrough for me. I dropped the number of tables I was playing and did everything I could to truly focus.What does any of that matter anyway, isn't poker just a simple game? You get dealt two cards, and at best your actions are limited to check, bet, fold or raise.
Average players can look at their cards, and have a general sense for their hand strength in relation to the board. Good poker players can weigh up, and ultimately make decisions based on stack sizes, opponents, board texture and table image in a second. Great players, can sift through the cloudiness of their brain, right through to their subconscious, and find a play that not only exploits their opponents, but destroys them.
They say that everything starts with one idea. Already, I possess an idea for the goals I have in mind for 2013. Right now, I have a long way before I can seriously put those goals into notion. One the casino playing two noobs seemed very seedy imo. No offence but taking money off people by acting naive isn't so great imo. You obviously have great skill. Why not play poker on a level playing field....it would be a sweeter win. Also, yes i know you're young, relatively, but the "****** above average girls" comment is a gratuitous comment that shows a lack of respect for the female sex and though some may find it funny and say so, i just thought that it wasn't in keeping with how you come across usually. I'm no prude Pat and i hope you don't take offence but i hope you do consider your actions. you are young and we all need to reconsider our actions at times. Only in this way can we grow with a mature, balanced outlook on life. This isn't an angry, "i'm outraged" post. I'd really like to thank you for your honesty and taking the time to put it into such a way, as to not come across offensive and condescending. I have to completely agree with you and appologise. All I can say is that at times, I'm trying to balance a lot of personal things in this thread with poker - which can be tough. Ultimately, I'm still naive and some of the things I say are distasteful and regretful, hopefully I can improve on this in the future.

I think the nut worst response I ever see on poker forums is "joke", which always makes me assume (books by covers, yes, I know it is wrong), that the author is wearing his baseball cap backwards.
