Glad you had such a great time James, i reckon you were living out everyone on the forums dreams, to qualify for Vegas from £2.40.
You did both yourself & Skys community proud to achieve what you did over there, it was a pleasure to follow both yours & all the other guys success & progress in in Vegas.
Further to the comments by the other Vegas players I would like to say a massive thank you to the forum contributors, knowing there were so many people supporting us meant a lot. The information on the tables was also extremely useful and appreciated by us all.
I would also like to thank all of the other players/+1's etc who were there and made me feel so welcome and made the trip so enjoyable.
Finally I would like to thank Tikay, he puts in so many hours to keep everyone updated and make sure all the players are doing well and it is really appreciated, especially as a way of keeping my family updated.
I hope to play the SPT at Nottingham so hopefully can meet as many of you as possible.
Hopefully Sky will reward the one or two main contributors/supporters with a seat at Nottingham so the Vegas players can thank them personally and buy them a pint or three!
I think it would be tremendous for poker if 2 ladies made the Final 9, even one would be quite remarkable. I can't even recall the last time a female made the WSOP Main Event Final Table. Posted by Tikay10
In Response to Re: The WSOP Main Event fun starts NOW : Barbara Enright - 1995 or 96?? Posted by Glenelg
Sounds like a good shout to me.
She won $180,000 in a $2,500 PL Event in '96, & made the Final of the WSOP Main Event in '95, finishing 5th for $114,000. (How much will 5th get this year?).
Oddly, I bumped into Barbara in Vegas several times this trip, & she had several cashes, 2 of them in Ladies Events.
I just looked at that '95 WSOP Final, some interesting names there - the winner was Dan Harrington, but of more interest to me was the guy in 12th, Micky Cook.
Many of you who have played live poker in and around London & the Home Counties will have bumped into Micky, but his first recorded cash on most Databases was back in 1986.
Mick's nickname is "The Clock".
A FREE "Lucky Seven" entry to the first person to explain how he got that nickname. Allegedly.

Yes, settling down now, thanks, though it has been quite interesting in some ways.
