After an up and down week at the festival here are the ratings for today
iiii - 3.00 GOODWOOD - MOUNT MARIAH 5-1 - WOULD HAVE BEEN AT BOTTOM OF WEIGHTS FOR RACE BEFORE AT WHAT LOOKS LIKE A BETTER DISTANCE BUT INSTEAD THE TRAINER UPS THE HORSE IN CLASS AFTER AN EASY VISTORY LAST TIME. LETS HOPE HE IS RIGHT. 3RD BUT FOR GORDON STAKES READ MICHAEL STOUTE AND HE WINS IT AGAIN. MM NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THIS CLASS
iii - 3.35 GOODWOOD - SIR DANCELOT 11-1 - Elsworth and Ryan teamed up for big handicap win yesterday and this horse ran a stunner last time and should like this distance as well . Lets hope history repeats itself. LOST NOT A HOPE FROM THAT DRAW AND DIDNT HAVE THE EARLY PACE
ii - 1.50 GOODWOOD - SCORCHING HEAT 7-1 - Certainly not what this track has had this week but this horse should like the ground WINNER AND VERY NICELY WORTH FOLLOWING

iiii- 2.25 NEWBURY - FRONTIERSMAN 5-2 - Big fan of Defoe but you will see from my post at top of this page that I think he is a mile and a half horse at the maximum. This horse has run some temendous races at a higher level and is due another win and should come here. 3RD AND FLATTERED TO DECEIVE AGAIN
iii - 3.35 NEWBURY - DABAN 15-2 - Was near favouritism for the 1000 guineas after winning over this trip at Newmarket and than ran second in the guineas, hopefully back to winning ways here. NR
ii - 2.40 RIPON - LEXINGTON TIMES 9-1 - Looked a world beater on his last to first run at York and then ran well to finish 3rd in higher class last week. This more his level and well handicapped on old form. LOST
i- 3.15 RIPON - MATTMU 22-1 - Lucky to get a nice nap with what turned out to be a plot horse and I am hoping this is another although bit worried re draw in middle but that reflected in price. Was a high class sprinter in his time and has had a quiet two years. That means horse is very well handicapped and he was dropped a further 8lbs for what looked a fitness race fortnight ago. Hope that has brought him on and Mr Easterby is in the same plot as me. WINNER AT 25-1 WOW I DID IT!!!!, SORRY FOR THE BOASTING BUT SO RELEIVED I HAVENT LOST MY MOJO
