when i considered the size of this villians stack i just couldn't see him risking a bluff on the turn as he probably knew i held an ace with the flop being raised. so all it left me thinking was he has a FH
i did make some hero calls when i saw him just limp in preflop what i would have expected is for him to just call all the way with a FH plus if he has the FH and did want to jam why not do it on the flop i don't know what he had knowing he limped in preflop.

i didn't see him reraise the flop or jam the turn so i went with Qx and on the river i just looked at it thinking if he has AQ then i accept the loss but he could be trying to bluff it himself
I did notice you called an all in pre flop for AQ against a pretty big stack, other chap had QQ, was that based on notes or is that a standard call for you? if standard I would suggest that may be a leak, against small stacks its fine, but mid/big stacks you are often 50/50 or way behind.

what i was looking to have him on was JJ because with him being OOP and if he knew how i play post flop had an A K or Q came he might have been unsure how to progress from their even though i might have held a weaker pair than JJ while doing a cbet. so what i thought myself was with AK i will jam 99% of the time and on this occasion AQ is not much differant. just took the risk accepting defeat if it happened but what i know now is this villian does jam right away with his premium hands so theirfore only AK will be called by me.
the reason i say AK is jammed 99% of the time is with most deep stack villian they will probably know me better and have notes so if i were only going to reraise and make or call a jam with QQ KK or AA then it will make it very easy for folds to be made by the villian if he holds QQ-1010 overall that might have been very lucky but i think i made some very good folds yesterday.
that triple aces the reason for that fold was i notice the villian was on more than just one table so what i thought was he would know i hold the A and he has either got a set or two pair so when he saw me make another big bet he knew for sure i held an A so used that as the chance to then double with his FH. what got me to still make the call with triple queens was if he was holding a FH himself then surely he would jam the flop so it left me thinking he is doing a bluff.
Hmmmm I would have to say I disagree with a lot of those thought processes.
Firstly you are putting him on one hand, when you should always be putting players on a range, and the broadness of the range can be adjusted depending on notes available.
Secondly if you are putting him on JJ, AQ should be a clear fold, since you are only 42.5% to win the hand.
Thirdly, risks should not be taken on the basis of accepting a defeat. Risks should be taken when you have right odds to do so. Whereas accepting defeat (in a given hand) should be part of a players mental conditioning to avoid tilt after taking a loss.

i might be wrong to have called with AQ but atleast i know now that villian makes shoves with good hands if it were AK that i held then i would be making the call for sure otherwise villians will find it very easy to fold knowing i will only hold the premium pairs if i shove so therefore most QQ will only get called by KK or AA leaving me thinking QQ is to risky.
today was again another good day. overall i managed to win £18.13 from the cash tables which give me a bankroll of £132.68 my hand history today was losses of 4.23 3.71 3.28 caused from a weaker set and FH and a nut flush vs FH £1-£2 8 hands the profits were £3-£4 6 hands £2-£4 6 hands £1-£2 13 hands
what today did seem to have was quite a lot of maniacs here were some of those hands i had

the hand i feel most annoyed with was this i might have played it badly post flop but i wouldn't expect many to wait until post flop. wonder how the villian himself would have fealt had the K came as the chances of me then calling a jam would drop greatly know two pairs would have been possible.

my best bit of play was this bluff i pulled by using the 3rd Q as trips
Hand 2, Why check the 4? it doesnt change anything. The check just makes it harder to play for stacks on the river.
Hand 3, I dont really like this for the following reason. Turn gave you information that villain might not be keen on their holding any longer. No need to bluff pot bet. If they are folding for £1.84 they will almost certainly fold for about £1.10 and maybe even less than that. You will fold out the same hands and also save yourself the 74pence if you get called. So imo avoid mashing the pot button as a default choice for bluffs.
Also, are you just loading up x number of tables and remaining on them for the duration of your session?
had a very difficult decision with this hand with the flop getting raised i was starting to think he has a third J an only called with it being a min raise then when the 3rd J comes on the turn when he jammed i was looking at it being quads because with these hands looking so unlikely he might have believe it would be easy for me to call it also another thing that i have noted down about this villian is he won't reraise the premium pairs preflop instead he will start getting aggressive post flop so as well as J being possible he might have held AA or KK i just didn't see him likely to hold 10 10 or 99 because if he is so passive with premium pairs preflop i didn't expect him to reraise on the flop with 99 or 1010 when their is two jacks
thing today didn't go as well with as they have done recently overall i suffered a loss of about £8 my BR now stands at £125.45 my hand history today was this losses £3.66 £3.53 £2.79 £2.32 £2.18 £1-£2 21 hands my winnings today were £7.09 £4 £3.46 £3.35 £3.21 £2.99 £2.75 £2.11 £1-£2 20 hands what i think was probably the cause for my losses today was all the flush straights and set i didn't seem to get also bluffs were not always possible.
the reason for such a big win with one of my hands was not AAvQQ or set over set it was infact this if a ten were to hit the river i dread to think of how annoyed i would be with that.

not often would i be folding a set but this is one of the rare times i should because once that j comes so many straights as well as the flushes have came.
Im inclined to say the exact opposite, perhaps your being a bit too results orientated?
With a flop so wet and against so many players and the fact that people dont like folding at 4nl, its just a check fold situation on the flop, never anything else.
No point doing what you did given the pot is so small on the flop and you have zero equity in there.
I think the only good thing about that hand, is that you didnt use pot bet on the river.

+1 very much agree, dont be results orientated, if you have a read on your opponent save it for a better board, no reason why he couldnt have the nuts there
5 way limped pot, and youve committed nothing to it as you were the big blind then bluff out of position on the wettest board you can find with no idea which player behind will play along with you. yeah the check fold buton should be auto selected before the sb has acted. theres so many better situations to run a bluff than here

i guess the better thing i should have did was just left that table because i was starting to get too bored with the way that table was all i was thinging would happen was again if i bet they were all going to fold so i show them a bluff and return to my tight aggressive play.
thing today start off well for me my last two hours i start getting on the bad side loosing to maniacs. my losses today were £4.81 £4.61 £3-£4 7 hands £2-£3 4 hands £1-£2 13 hands my winning hands today £8.31 £4.14 £3.33 £3.18 £2-£3 14 hands £1-£2 23 hands today i finally managed to get the royal flush and what was best about it was i had a villian who himself held a flush and was very aggressive which allowed me to therefore call all the way and won me 16.79 with profit being 8.31

my biggest mistake probably came from this and i should have just folded it right away
if your getting bored then stand. what you describe can be the start of tilt. im not getting hands so u will try things i really shouldnt. no harm in standfing and moving to another table.
nice getting a royal and having someone doing all the work for you. if only it was that easy with the monster holding. wp
Thing might be looking bad for my football team but atleast they going fine for me with poker as late sessions might be back to winning ways again after having 3 bad ones, although i did make profit on two of the last 3 days a lot of that was thanks to very good afternoons. On sunday the time i hit that royal flush my bankroll reached~£150 but then on that night things went awful.
As for today my table losses totaled -£20.18 while the table winnings totaled £39.77. my bankroll is £153.38
my hand losses were £4.49 £3.41 £3.05 £2.24 £1-£2 6 hands
my winnings were £4.22 £3-£4 3 hands £2-£3 6 hands £1-£2 11 hands
That hand you played last night where you had top pair KQ and the villain was chasing the inside straight, loved the check on the river allowing them to bluff. Nice thinking.
I looked in the chat box (rarely do) they were mouthing throughout the game about fish this fish that. Oh the irony.

that villain who thought I was a fish myself for calling that reraise with AJ I thought he had just jammed everything he had left after the pot i just won from him 20p raised to 1.08 looked just too big even my reraise are no more than 84p

i guess the better thing i should have did was just left that table because i was starting to get too bored with the way that table was all i was thinging would happen was again if i bet they were all going to fold so i show them a bluff and return to my tight aggressive play.

today i finally managed to get the royal flush and what was best about it was i had a villian who himself held a flush and was very aggressive which allowed me to therefore call all the way and won me 16.79 with profit being 8.31
nice getting a royal and having someone doing all the work for you. if only it was that easy with the monster holding. wp
Thing might be looking bad for my football team but atleast they going fine for me with poker as late sessions might be back to winning ways again after having 3 bad ones, although i did make profit on two of the last 3 days a lot of that was thanks to very good afternoons.
