Lol in all seriousness that was THE BEST days entertainment I've ever watched. TWO play off wins in ONE day!!! If I thought Mauritius was dramatic, it was nothing compared to Florida!!! Fowler was very VERY impressive in the play off. Esp' considering he thought he'd had it won once already. Those 3 tee shots into the 17th were pure class...
But as the Flash Man has already pointed out, it was just #anotherstandardweek.
Beyond sick now, and I know very soon I'm going to suffer for this run, but hey ho. So without further delay onto this weeks frolics:-
Let's start in USA this week. Would be very easy AND sensible to say 100% of stake win only on Rory @ 7/2, for the exact same reasons I said in Dubai when he cruised home. But I'm gonna try get him beat. He's got a biggy next week at Wentworth when I'm hoping he'll win for my R2D-acca bet.
It's a bombers course this week, so I'm going left field with my 1st pick, Gary Woodland ew @ 66/1. Next Webb Simpson ew @ 66/1. With a little help from a friend I've gone with a Rory, but Sabbatini ew @ 100/1. And finally Henrik Stenson ew @ 20/1. I suggest 30% Stenson and Woodland. 20% the other two.
In Spain, again very easy to say Sergio 100% of bet but 50% ew... But again gonna try get him beat.
1st bet, a solid pick, Levy ew @ 33/1. 2nd pick I'm hoping to see a back to form Victor Dubuisson ew @ 33/1 (bet Victor were 40/1, but with a little help from a friend, I'm afraid we took all that). 3rd pick is Byeong Hun An ew @ 50/1.
And JUST in case Rory and Sergio outclass their fields, I'm doing a win only double that pays approx 27/1 Gl everyone. Dreaming of week no 12 in profit. Posted by joesman1
I've added this bet too
Also I put some stats into that golf betting system page that Darty showed me a while back and each time Thomas Pieters kept coming up as no.1 so at 100/1 It would be rude to ignore him.
EDIT: I've said it was Darty's site, but I think it might of been Splashies actually. But as he has disowned us I'll give Jerome the credit. ;-)
Word has got to me via Flash that Levy couldn't handle the pressure of being my main fancy for week no 12, coupled with Flash fancying him strongly too. Only shoulders the size of Coatzee's can handle that amount of weight on them, so has pulled out. I'm replacing him with a mixed Grillo ew @ 25/1 with Skybet. Also I've bowed to pressure from Flash and added Pieters ew @ 110/1 with 365. Well u need someone to blame when it goes wrong don't u??
In Response to Re: Get in the Hole! 2015 Season! (The Players Championship + Mauritius Open) : I've added this bet too Also I put some stats into that golf betting system page that Darty showed me a while back and each time Thomas Pieters kept coming up as no.1 so at 100/1 It would be rude to ignore him. Yes it was that man Splashies who pointed us in the direction of the stats website, but if Pieters wins I'm sure Splashies won't mind me taking the credit.
Pieters is a player that's let me down several times this season and to be honest I'd given up on him, but seeing as you are on him along with that Joesman1 bloke who has been know to pick the odd winner, I'll join you and give Pieters one more chance.
Matteo Manessero - 70/1, played exceptionally well tee to green last time out, only to mess about with strange putting strokes on the greens. You would hope (well I do), that he's now sorted out whatever it is he was trying to do with his putter.
It looks to me like this course should suit Manessero, he may not be priced at 150/1 as he was last time out, but even at 70/1, I think he is exceptional value.
Francesco Molinari - 40/1, double Italian this week, again I feel the course should suit Francesco and I think 40/1 or even 33/1 is a decent bet in this field.
Thomas Aitken - 28/1, I backed him last win and his 4th place finish gave me a return. Seeing as he didn't do much wrong last week and won on this course in 2011, I cant really see how I can ignore him this week.
Thomas Pieters - 100/1, either because I've done loads of studying and I think he will won or simply because messers Overton and Strike have backed him, I'll highlight / delete the appropriate reason once I know the result
Rory Sabbatini - 100/1, finished very strongly last week at The Players, for what was his best ever finish there. He has a 3rd here and 8th last year. The sort of player that tends to play really well for a few weeks and then plod along for months on end. Hoping that he's 'in the zone' right now.
Gary Woodland - 66/1, another player that's let me down when I've been on him this year. I wasn't going to back him again, but since the golden one is on him and I agree bombers should be contenders this week, I've gone with the flow.
Sean O'Hair - 60/1, former winner, back to playing at the classy levels his former self was accustomed to playing at.
Lucas Glover - 125/1, another course and distance winner and a player that is right up with the best for many a key stat this season. Just needs to make a few putts and he'll contend this week.
In Response to Re: Get in the Hole! 2015 Season! (WGC Matchplay) : Wooohooo! Amazing picks again Mr Golf ! As the watching american public on a par 5 tee might say "Get in the Hole!! followed by You Da man !! I am guessing Securicor and G4S will have to accompany you to the bookies again! and those other pesky bookies may say as Roberto Duran did"No Mas!" A few holes to go in America.. but still impressive picks and i've got to work at 4am so can't stay up any longer. Well Done so far. Posted by Any2Suited
So after reading all of the dispatches above from "Team Sky Golf", I will be doing a small double on Sergio and Rory just in case they are to good. Adding T.Pieters 100/1 for Open De Espana to go with my picks of P.Larrazabel 28/1 and R.Cabrera Bello 40/1. Over at Wells Fargo my picks are J.B Holmes 33/1 and J.Furyk 18/1 . Also eachway doubles across the tournaments. Good Luck all.
I was just having a quick look at the European Tour Live Blog to see if there is any interesting last minute news and find they've posted a tweet from Mr. Flash Flush himself.
Probably best it wasn't one about backing Thomas Pieters
Edit: scrolled further down the blog and now I get the wit behind the tweet
