I'm happy with the place. Cheers Dart. Posted by achill
Nice one Achill
The win would of been great, but likewise I was happy with the place, 80/1 and 66/1, gives a 20/1 and 16.5/1 winner, which was actually a bigger price than Bubba to win.

Yes, i agree a place is still very good at the price. Cheers for the tip Darty.
Going with a two-pronged French attack this week. Annoyed I missed the early 66/1 about Victor, him having showed a bit of form last week. Made Skybet pay by hammering the 55/1 ew. Paddy paying top 7 this week, so going with them when the price is right. Took the 33/1 ew about Levy with them. Finally Donaldson ew @ 25/1 with them
Busy week at the office this week, so no time to waffle on about who I'm backing and why.
For reasons known to me I'm on the following:
Open De France
Bernd Wiesberger - 33/1, Also 35/1 for FRL, based on past history where Bernd seems to compete here for three rounds and then has a final round mare.
Brendan Steele - 33/1
Kristoffer Broberg - 66/1
Greenbrier
Seung Yul Noh - 70/1
Chris Stroud - 66/1
Patrick Rodgers - 66/1
Oh and might as well confess, I've had ew singles and double on Mr. Willett and Mr. Delaet t 28/1 and 33/1 respectively, not some much strong fancies for the week, but favorites of mine I like to see do well.
Been busy this week having a birthday and playing golf myself at Celtic Manor so had little time to study. Going with the patent again until I feel more into it and can put more time in

With Bernd Wiesberger tying for the lead on day 1, it already meant a decent profit for the week, so the outright win was really one of those icing on the cake situations.
With little to no course form in Scotland this week, Jordan Spieth a hot favorite at the John Deere and it being a week before The Open it looks like a tough challenge to find a winner or place this week.
Well done Darty. Hit the bullseye there didn't you
No betting for me now for a week or so. Need to get out of this downswing in all things gambling related! Going to sit back, read the Chris Moorman book that I didn't finish and come back a new energised Flasher ;-)
In Europe this week it's just the two picks, and both quite easy choices for me. Firstly, perennial good links player Brandan Grace ew @ 22/1, and Byeong Un An ew @ 50/1.
Edit:- I've added Fitzpatrick ew @ 100/1. Persuaded by his course form in Open qualifying 2 years ago, and The Racing Post fancying him.
In the USA, it's my fav regular tournie of the season, The John Deere. It's the easiest event to predict. Most of the big guns are already in Europe, and as a result, in his pomp, Stricker used to gauge on this event. Then Zach Johnson joined the party, and started to dominate it. Two years ago, a young upstart called Spieth spoiled the fun by chipping in from a green-side bunker on the 72nd hole, (he then beat my man Zach and Hearn in the play-off) whatever happened to him??
Spieth would have defended last year but for a very slow start, and I was going to go big on him this week, I'd made my mind up from The Masters onwards. But him winning the U.S. Open has muddied the waters. He now has 'The Slam' on his mind, and Rory's carry on will only have intensified this. Sooooo I'm going against my own judgement. Hoping that it's a bet to nothing in that he will place at least, I'm going big on Zach Johnson ew @ 9/1.
Shane Lowry - 28/1, very impressive tied 9th in the US Open, taken the last 2 weeks off, should be ready for a big 2 weeks, excellent links game, even at 28/1 feels like decent ew value.
Victor Dubuisson - 50/1, coming off his first consecutive top 20's of the season, ok didn't come away with much credit on the final day of the Open de France, but looks to be coming into form nicely. Neil will be hoping he is coming into form nicely for next week, with such a strong short game, I'll mischievously suggest Victor could just peak with a victory this week.
Tyrell Hatton - 66/1, Mark Warren - 66/1, not a particular fan of either, but can see them both having a good week, I couldn't decide which player I 'liked' most, so ended up backing both.
Thomas Aitken - 110/1, bit of a gut feeling here, he's played a light schedule so far, but sits a healthy 43rd in the R2D rankings. Aitken has links form and looks too big at 3 figures.
Unlike Neil, I don't particularly like this event, probably as I have a knack for ignoring the obvious and pass over players like Spieth, Johnson, Stricker and even Kisner.
Ryan Moore - 25/1, loads of good course form, but not a past winner, which I guess is why he can be backed at a decent ew price of 25/1.
Patrick Rodgers - 80/1, in a weak field and at 80/1 I figured he's worth another chance as he finds his feet on tour.
Harris English - 40/1, if the course specialists don't perform, English is the type of player in this field that could take advantage.
David Hearn - 66/1, lost in a playoff last week and lost here is a playoff in 2013 to that Spieth bloke.
Justin Thomas - 33/1, I didn't see much of the PGA golf last week, but I did see the last couple of hours on Sunday and the mess Thomas made of his last round, you could see he was seething at the end, young enough and fearless enough to quickly get over the disappointment and go again.

After day 1 this looks like a very good decision, very impressive since I know you had been building up to a big bet on Spieth this week.
Good luck with Zach Jonson, I hope he gets a place for you

Speith played like he has a flight booked on Saturday.
Went with Stricker & Zach Johnson & both are well placed.

You see this is why I'm always wary of making comment until the last putt on the 72nd hole has been made.
We all thought the same on Thursday night and then Jordan Spieth incredibly goes and shoots 17 under par over the next 2 days.

Now to Saturday and ready to hit the accelerator on moving day
Over at the Travellers, it looks like scoring is a little lower today, a second 67 from Graham Delaet would do very nicely
I'm happy with the place.
