So sorry to hear about your daughter Tom. I totally understand your fears regards the professionals and the doubts you have as to whether pumping her full of drugs is the answer.
It obviously isn’t but will be necessary, I suppose, just to control her mood when she is at her lowest.
All I would advise mate is to carry on being the strong, positive and loving father you so clearly are.

My thoughts are with you Tom. I don't really know what to say to be honest, just stay strong for her mate and know that you can get things out of your system on here where we all class you as one of the best blokes on the forum.

    Good Morning
Thank you all for the kind words, it really helps me to function when I see there are genuine lovely people here and around.
I do try to answer each individual, I’m a bit pushed for time at present so please bear with me.

Mr K mentioned that my dear daughter was doing so well, she was , and it was so nice to see.

I think it’s the small things ( well small to me) which seem to have a major impact in tipping the scales one way or the other.

Last week she received a letter from work asking her in for a meeting to “ Discuss her absence record “
She has worked there over 5 years and they are aware of her circumstances, it’s a countrywide firm though and it is probably just a tick box exercise, try telling that to my daughter though.

The same day she received a letter from the “ government “ saying they want to review her pip, even though she had a review 6 weeks ago.

Of course, her fragility kicked in , and she was convinced she was going to lose her job , and what little “ help” the government give monetary wise.
All downhill from there, it’s probably not any of those ^ that’s just me putting 1 and 1 together and making 3 .

The good thing so far is she hasn’t been admitted to hospital, she is having daily meetings with the crises team.
    Today’s is at 11am
Hence me pushed for time .

Sarah had a letter yesterday , she did a “ sleep apnea” test a few weeks ago, all wired up the the day and night .... she now is forbidden to drive 😩

    Ah well, we will survive.

    Have a great weekend x

Oh I did play last night
    Won the 08 bh

    Update ft later

Sorry to hear about your daughter's situation Tom. Employers have to follow a formalised, tick box routine now to their staff, so the meeting to discuss her absence record is probably just that, a meeting they have to have in order to satisfy their own internal procedures. Unfortunately for her it feels like she is being singled out. (typed that and then re read your post to see that you had written almost exactly that, soz!)

The PIP review is a similar thing although from what I have read it's often being done by people who have no idea in the slightest what they are doing. Which seems to be a requirement for doing anything in/for Government.

I hope she is having more luck with her NHS team, but best I don't get started on my views of NHS specialists.

How long is Sarah stopped from driving? Is it until they do further tests or likely to be long term? I hope it doesn't cause too much of a inconvenient to you all.

Looks like things are a bit tough atm and I hope they get better for you all soon.

    Thanks Paul

It’s been a while since I posted, my good lady is allowed to drive , she rang dvla to clarify, they want a docs report but is allowed to drive in the meantime 🤯.
She is wearing a sleep apnea contraption to bed, it’s like sleeping with a cross between Darth Vader and Bane..

Dear daughter seems to be recovering from her blip, she apologised to me for taking 40 of my co codamol tablets, tough times.

We were going through paperwork at the weekend, amazed at how much we accrue considering stuff is done online these days., I’ll try and post a pic which got me quote emotional.

Tomorrow is my yearly oncology appointment.

Hope to see you on tables, and in Brighton.

    Thank you.
Good news, my psa is 0.03 so I’m good for at least another 6 months 😊
Played some poker the other day, I regged late and busted pretty much all my tournaments so decided to play a really big buy in one( £11 😊)

Managed to make the FT through some dodgy fishy play, eventually won it through more dodgy fishy play, withdrew a bit to help with our daily living expenses, I caught a cold off my gorgeous grandson and have ‘ self isolated’ til Monday ( Thanks Boris 😊)

Of course my good lady has caught it as well, seems I can’t garner any sympathy from those quarters now 😏, dear daughter rang nursery today, and due to the current worry about people having a cough he’s not allowed in, playtime all day then, arf arf.

I seem to have caught the gamblathon bug, I’ve had a bet today in both the Triumph Hurdle ( it was a big worded one so can’t remember, and Clan Des Oboux in the Gold Cup, good luck me.

If I get enough Brownie points in I may play play poker again this evening.

Have a good day all. X
